My hiking boots are made of Gore-Tex and is not very breathable. Even with light socks they're too hot to use every day, really only in the Fall and Winter. You'd have to have a fursuit with a lot of cooling.

I 100% recommend it. The knot is absolutely amazing because the top little hump hits your prostate perfectly. The only other on I have is Kippy the caline, and I never use him anymore. I'd say Rex is probably one of their best because of the knot.

Perhaps because it's not completely goretex all the way through, all boots have to have some amount of leather particularly at the tip, which kind of defeats the purpose of incorporating goretex into the design as the tip of the boot is where the toes are, and that is where most of the sweat is produced, and since the tip is leather there isn't any way for it to evaporate.
We used to use goretex boots until the Great Cheapening happened and the army in its infinite wisdom decided to take a couple percent out of boot budget and reallocate it to higher pay for senior staff.

Gore-Tex lining. They're great up to about 70° then it starts to get too warm, but they're solid at even below freezing and probably subzero with the right socks. Probably one of the best boots ever made, definitely worth $230.

Sure I do. It means serving a purpose for whatever it is you're doing. Motorcycle boots are meant to be tough and survive crashes, and while goth boots aren't specifically designed that way, they're designed after combat boots so they're pretty tough and rugged. It wouldn't be a direct replacement for real motorcycle boots, but with a steel toe they'd be damn good and look cool while doing it.
