As for Monika, she did what she needed to do. She didn't mean to kill her friends, she just meant to alter them a bit. And, if she has all that power and can change people as she wills, how can you even say the others are real?

I went in knowing only two things. Monika is a psychopathic serial killer and Natsuki will come back from the dead to kill MC. Neither was true, the more I played the more I understood Monika. Yuri is ironically more "my type". She likes horror, is more gothic, has darker hair, has long bangs, is more isolated from the world, and the whole yandere thing in act 2 is entirely my desire. But her pretentiousness bothered me to no end. She sickened me with her act.

Because Natsuki was trying to be the bigger person. She cared for Yuri, besides her pretentious shit, and while Yuri got under her skin a lot she is still one of the only people around.
Mature is just a false veil of pretentiousness "I'm so much more adult like". She corrects her actions mostly because she refuses to admit truths and instead lives under constant lies. She stays calm mostly because it is "beneath her" to misstep. It just is all part of her pretentious act.
Natsuki is not immature (note I dislike her). She is a strong woman, she has endured a lot of abuse and is able to hide it rather well. Her body is stunted, but that means little, and a bigger form does not necessarily mean mature when petite women exist. Immature does, it is a negative trait, often used by pretentious people to put down people that are "inferior" to them. It is how INFJs in particular speak to me. I don't think with their mind, I don't have their answers, and so I am an immature little piece of shit.
Natsuki targeted what she could. Yuri hides a lot, like a snake in the grass. Natsuki meanwhile is open and exposes herself. So she is cut deep and has to defend herself as best as she can by an abusive Yuri.
I can relate to Yuri in certain ways. I was the outcast at lunch, I could get an entire table to move with my presence. I hold passions and get far too intense for most people. The difference is that I am "immature" and refuse to hide that passion. I didn't stop because I was afraid of people making fun of me. I am as far as you can get from a silent introvert, I am extremely loud to the point I terrify people around me. Allegedly that is "my fault" because "I should act more normal and mature". Fuck that. I feel a certain way inside, I should have a right to act that way and not feel afraid of rejection.
