I don't want to go to college... fuck... why can't I be like those big YouTubers that dropped out of college and are millionaires now... I don't want to live this mundane wage slave life. Only I can save myself through YouTube. Nobody will understand
They hayday of Youtube is pretty much over. Even the guys who have millions of followers are starting to lose subscribers and their ad revenue is going down. Another 2-3 years and the idea of a Youtube "career" will be fantasy
And how much money did that earn you? $0.001?
Yes that picture is correct. 681,104 views at an insanely high click through rate of 1to4 (its usually a lot closer to 1to15) earned him $10.02
My wife makes way way more money in Instagram than she ever would making Youtube videos and it takes her 1/4 the time to do it
And we get free shit all the time. Im actually breaking in our new BBQ grill this weekend that we got for free :)
hundreds of millions of views spread out across years gives them a good base. But most of their money ends up coming from paid sponsorship and paid product placements.
I would also assume they arent nearly as rich as they appear to be
How is it unbelievable that you make money on instagram? You do know that the majority of instagram reviewers are also selling the products they review and get those products to review for free right?
Youtube is not the only platform to create wealth out there. Learn to sell and you can literally just create your own work selling other companies' products. That's what I do.
Don't fall for the normie meme, I've been at the same dead end shitty soul-sucking job for 6 years. Life is a complete blur as I waste 9 hours a day serving ungrateful faggots and the only pleasure in life for me is watching my bank account go up by a mere $2k per month. Go NEET or die trying to get rich, it's better than this depressing life.
You're absolutely going to fail if you want an easy way to make money and the best you can come up with is following the footsteps of mediocre "famous" people
Dude, go work somewhere other than fast food. Other than CNA work, fast food is the worst fucking job for your sanity. Hit up a packaging facility or factory. You don't have to deal with customers, the pay is better and you dont have erratic schedules. Fuck, my wife and i work for a place on the same shift that runs 4 ten hour shifts a week and we both make 14.50 an hour, which in our county, places us in the top 25% of earners (plus we have better than floor-worker positions). We have a nice place in town with 25 years left on our mortgage and walk to work on all but the worst weather.
Come on man, don't delude yourself. Sure there's some wage or salaried work that people genuinely enjoy, but that's only because they have good vision for the future and truly know their passions, so their work and their hobby become the same things. These sorts of tasks are monotonous and make us out to be robots instead of human beings. I can't wait for all this worthless shit to be automated.
jewtube is more work than it's worth tbh. have you seen the stats? unless you can come up with content that goes somewhat viral or connect with other youtubers who are already established and have them shout you out every so often, you aren't gonna make it without a good plan anyway my man. most people aren't breaking 1 million views per month (avg needed to be on par with a full time job). but I guess if you can make even $300 a month you can skip like 3 days at work. kek. It's possible but it's not likely.
youtube in 2018? you know what pewdiepie said that he makes more money selling his hat than he is making with his youtube ad revenue this month despite uploading daily. youtube is deader than ever everyone is quitting. Maybe try becoming a twitch streamer?
Hey, its better than flipping burgers for shits that bitch at you when you put ketchup on the 400th burger of the day accidentally. Yes its monotonous, but its something.
Trust me, I would rather not work, but that's not how life works. With a steady and set schedule, I retain time for life outside of work, I am content with my work while there and dont hate every second of it. These combine to let me have a decently happy life.
yea, but so what? the problem with being poor is it's not so simple to just pull yourself up by the bootstraps and "earn" money like everyone else when you're barely getting by on 2 jobs as is. it's a hole you can't get out of because you don't have the time or the means to get out of it. i would love to go back to college to get a degree that's in demand today, but there's absolutely not enough time for me to finish a 4 year degree. if there were some way i could free up more time, i could do it, and the only real way to do that is with a bit more money.
You only have yourself to blame for not getting on a career track earlier.
There's still time don't give in yet. If you dedicate you will eventually get a better paying position. Work fulltime and take nightschool classes. Go drive truck if you have to. Move somewhere cheap to live. Live within your means. Stop buying weed and other shit you don't need
