Seriously, the last point. Upgrade to a better job. Better doesn't mean more money. Sometimes it's worth having a shittier paying job that's chill as fuck. I used to work night shifts in a hostel and that shit was comfy as fuck. First two hours was basic shit like garbage, folding towels and doing dishes but then the rest of the night was sneaking some whisky, a cheeky joint or two, vidya or movies on a tablet for 5 or 6 hours until time to go home.
I got paid dick all, only $14/hour and was barely saving anything every month but it was comfy and chill as fuck.

This OP. I'm a teaching assistant and I get paid $20/h to play games with kids for 2-3h a day. I spend another 2-3h shitposting on /v/ and /ck/ before I fuck off 2h early. No-one even notices or even cares that I leave early day, been getting away with it for 12 years now.
Main office keep asking me if I want to be "promoted" to office/manager work but that'd mean actually doing work and staying for the full shift. Not worth it for an extra $3/h.

What state you live in?
If you don't have certain health problems, like diabetes or shitty joints, you might get a strict but rewarding life in the military. Can you do basic math quickly? Can you deal with drunken assholes? Try training to be a dealer in table games, casinos are popping up everywhere as laws are relaxed. I make 17 dollars an hour on a slow night.

We didn’t get a lot of customers so pressure to sell was slim to none
We mostly sat around babysitting the store and watching anime on the flat screens we had in between customers or playing vidya w the boss if it was rlly rlly dead. I’ll miss it but that shit was 10$/hr + commission, and without the commission part I couldn’t do shit for dick ab finding my own place (with the amount I was spending at cons n shit)

Hell, I worked at Wal-Mart and just rolled my eyes through the Wal-Mart chant. I've had a history of talking shit about my current employer and still being loved and trusted by my managers - because I get my work done. Or perhaps because they profile me as "doing enough work" but potential shooter if they set me off. I dunno.
When I worked stocking, 10-PM to 6-AM, managers never fucked with me after the first few months. Every night except for emergencies, it was "K - housewares." I enjoyed my job despite complaining. Never earned great money, but kept my health in check through consistent lifting and work, never needed supervision, and the few times I fell behind, I'd earned so much trust that the managers just said "you had too much on your plate for one guy." I actually got temporarily "promoted" to backroom inventory, didn't like it, and went back to stocking housewares just by bitching. Not that I like Wal-Mart or the pay, but after being a C-student in college and managing little more in job hunting, it was actually pretty cool.

There are several casinos near yours, competing with mine. Unless you're a total retard, you can build the reaction to deal blackjack on autopilot. Just keep in mind that some casinos demand you have good posture and fake a smile regularly - it gets tiring - but aside from that, and learning a few carnival games (like poker hands cut down to three cards) you can manage your first few months in any casino. If you do, don't take craps; the dealers are a mixed bag at best and the customers are total niggers; if they demand you learn a second game within the first year, try roulette. More math than usual, but not a total shitshow except for crowded nights. If you take Baccarat or Paigow as a second game, you're either going to be bored out of your mind on weekdays or inundated with gooks that don't tip.

I've worked factory work, and I can confirm that it is a little more miserable than McDonalds with a bit more pay. The trick is that you don't want to get involved through a temp agency. I got paid shit while the agency made more than I did per hour, while I stood still packing boxes of diaper wipes. The biggest break in my job was stacking and wrapping palates of product to be shipped out. Bad for your knees on the line, good for strength and activity, but all the same, a shit job. Again, if your options still include military, try it. Advance, get officer status, avoid field work and getting shot at, if you have the discipline.

Hostels are surprisingly comfy if you get a good one. Hotels aren't, they have higher standards so you have to work your ass off.
Hostel housekeeping you get to keep free stuff (leftover booze, drugs, snacks etc from check-out) and usually you're allowed to listen to music while working. Shifts fly by when you have good tunes on. Front desk you'll mostly sit around all day but answer occasional emails, check people in/out, answer dumb questions. Night shift is basically like a mix of the two except you have to deal with the odd drunk person or tell noisy people to shut the fuck up, but you get paid more and once everyone's asleep you basically sit around until dawn doing fuck all.

I warn you, my job pays well, but it's full of niggers. Niggers of all races. You will make decent money, but people will bitch at you CONSTANTLY. If you have the right mentality, or at least the ability to build social calluses, you'll learn to ignore it quickly. If not, it will drive you to quit within weeks. Our job has a fairly high employee turnover - some quit, some move on to Vegas or what's left of AC, some move on to new casinos opening up hoping to take advantage of that 50 an hour for the first few months before the novelty wears off.
