“All y’all crapping your pants over Part 1 of the Infinity Wars have got to chill out. You have forgotten what you are dealing with. First of all, just like any long-running serial drama, the Marvel Comics Universe is just like a soap opera. Though the options are more exotic than just amnesia, time travel, witchcraft, drugs and terrorism and whatever else soaps use it’s all of one. Comics series are essentially soap operas. That (the price and the art style) pushed me away from comics for a long time after college. But events in comics, like the infinity wars, are more like a two act play. In the first act, you assemble the players, set the goal and get going, and then there is a giant battle than ends badly (BECAUSE THAT’S A CLIFFHANGER!) It’s like “Empire” in the Original Star Wars trilogy. Things are bad and get worse. So, dry your tears and wait for part two.
Oh, and death is not only a person, and ten other persona in the Marvel Universe, but death is just—what? Nobody dies, not really. Anyone know Jean Grey? They get amnesia and wake up in a clinic on a coast somewhere. They get reborn, reanimated, or just put in a new body. I can think of a whole lot of possibilities to restore those killed to the MCU.
1. Thanos transported all of them to the Collector to pay a debt
2. Thanos sent Starlord back to his daddy for a fat fee
3. Thanos took out those guys specially to push the story

not a bad analysis. Interesting actually because the plot of the next movie seems quite clear. Captain Marvel, Thor, or Nebula are going to harness the Infinity gauntlet to turn back time. Then, it's going to be a redo of the battle of Wakanda or earlier. this will only be a moderate success forcing thanos to retreat. After this, the avengers will find some powerful allies and then there's gonna be one final epic battle in which thanos emotionally dies as a conflicted villain.
