Superhero games seem like they could be more interesting, if the effort is put in to make the powers mechanically interesting and not OP. Spiderman games probably get made more than any other hero because web swinging is the right balance of restricted, simple, and interesting compared to other powers like superspeed, superstrength, flying, and stuff.
Last Halo I played was probably 3, and I enjoyed it a good deal. I don't think I've ever played through a game that many times. I've played the first Tomb Raider: 3 times for sure (if we count once on the Sega Saturn as well), Final Fantasy X, and NiGHTS Into Dreams maybe.
Good job on the games budget btw. I mostly pirate VNs recently and retro pc games, and play free games online and on IOS. Other than that I do splurge on retro consoles and games when I have money, my last one being a gift of a 3DO + games last Christmas.

I guess so. I just wonder if I'm getting the point of some of these games with how much I focus on them. It seems like a lot of enjoyment of some games is as a background task or something, but I do everything full screen with all the options enabled, even stuff I could easily make more background like VNs, and I'd get annoyed if I didn't. Not sure if that puts me in a minority or something, but it kinda makes some games less appealing I guess.
