The Jellenheimer started off as someone's poor attempt to draw fluffy foals. Some people liked how they looked and the fandom called them Jellenheimers. However, once the cannibal fluffies we see now (look like regular fluffies with sharp teeth) started showing up, people started to use Jellenheimers for weirdbox stuff and giving them psychic powers and other supernatural abilities to make them even more unnerving, to human and fluffy alike.
