Ex-Hasbio Employee here. The NDA was recently lifted; so I'm here to answer all your questions. Recapping from the last thread.

Only fluffy behavior I really despise. Sure, smarties are annoying; but their arrogant behavior at least is an attempt to further the survival of themselves and their herd if they have one. I was there when the first generation of lab specimens exhibited the behavior. Unfortunately; a breeding pair from the test pool was taken home by an employee before being sterilized.
The "poopie baby" glitch, is directly counterproductive to the survival instinct of the species. It is a piece of corrupted genetic data that's a direct result of engineers attempting to foster breeding pairs that produce offspring with favorable colors. However, instead of merely suppressing an individual fluffy's sexual attraction to brown would-be partners; the engineering amplified itself and even overpowered maternal instincts. Not only will mothers ignore brown foals; they will actively kill them. This was never the intent; as the predisposition was supposed to be mild distaste towards adult fluffies, as opposed outright violence against infants. Furthermore; the subsequent test generations were to be further bred to eliminate (or repress as much as possible) non-colorful fur tones.

Oh boy, one of the biggest blunders in the company history. This is actually pretty personal to me; but don't start pointing the finger yet.
It took a long time to produce the first viable Alicorn; the first attempts didn't even take in the womb. Subsequent tests left the foals with a slew of deformities and general headaches for us. Even now, Alicorns have a tendency for "derp syndrome" wherein they'll go walleyed in the face of overstimulation. [Side note: Fluffies like these make great therapy pets for Autists] (To be continued shortly.)

The Alicorn in question was given the apt, if not cliched nickname "Princess". It was introduced into a budding herd of two breeding pairs. The results were...less than desirable.
When I arrived, Princess had already been put back into isolation, so the events after immediate introduction are word of mouth. Immediately after the herd observed Princess, they went absolutely apeshit. You would have thought Satan himself had arisen from hell and told them he was there to torture them for all eternity. Even the alpha was powerless in the face of this extreme terror. Feces flew at mach speed from the fluffies as they ran headfirst into the side of the enclosure opposite from Princess. After about three minutes of screaming and shitting, the four fluffies huddled and formed a quivering mass of fur and tears. They stayed in this position even hours after Princess was removed from the area, they were like that when I arrived to the facility.
The reaction and its intensity could not have been predicted, while the sorting behavior was already introduced into this version; we didn't expect fear as an institutional response to a fluffy who's only difference was the addition of wings AND a horn.

Princess was also naturally shaken from the experience. She of course, could not possibly grasp why she was met with such animosity. It wasn't really clear whether or not she realized she was different at all; given her species inherent naivety.
I tried my best to calm her down without a complicated explanation. I told her that the herd was simply startled by a new fluffy, and I was sure they would warm up to her in time. I was wrong.
The disconnect between Princess and other fluffies was so strong, that even photographs of her were enough to unnerve even the bravest stallions. The alpha of the initial introduction herd boasted that he would give the "munsta" "wowstest hurties" if he saw her again. But, as she was held up to the glass; he promptly emptied his bowels and ran away.
Now; I know this reaction isn't typical in the general population. While some fluffies will fear Alicorns; others will fight them. Still others, will simply avoid them completely with mild disgust. The general reasoning behind this is a disconnect in reasoning in normal fluffies. They are unable to fit Alicorns in one of the three categories (Earth, Pegasus, Unicorn) and therefore resort to basic responses of fear/anger/disgust. The "munstah" glitch was fixed in the lab; but the updated and legacy generations was mixed with the PETA attack.
Anyway, I know there are more questions so I'll wrap this one up. Princess lived the rest of her life in isolation. Her existence being a general success; she was spared from euthanasia and went home with the CEO of the Tokyo branch. In fact, if you visit Hasbio HQ in Japan; you'll see a small brass statuette of her in the lobby

Norris the Fluffy died of hypoxemia around 20 minutes after enlargement. When I began reading these, I was attracted to their pain because is was majorly depressed and had anxiety out the wazoo. Their pain somehow made me feel less alone. Later I liked the comics where fluffies were punished for negative personality traits that I saw in other people all around me, so that little guy in the back of my head going "people should just die" got satisfied then. You can have stories of a simple nature ex: guy at home minding own busness then fluffies show up and act like assholes and get their just reward.

Im working on one where a herd gets employed by an indoor golf course to keep the green fertilised and appropriately uniformely short and the rest of the grass at the course an appropriate length. In exchange for keeping the grass pristine they get to live at the golf course. They like the arraingement because the grass tastes sweet to them and they get year round climate controlled shelter and clean 1/2 inch deep streams to wash in. The golf course gets perfectly tended grass and an otherwise free labor force to tend it that is also pleasing to the eye and polite. The whole story is about them finding the place and breaking in then getting lost in there then found by the grounds keeper who is ok with it but has to clear it with his boss. His boss initially doesnt go for it. But after meeting with the herd "smarty" they negotiate a deal, becausebthe smarty actuslly posesses a human level iq of 100 and is able to read and reason on a human level.)
