Trust me, it's hard. Easily one the hardest things I've ever tried to play. The only thing that compares is some Megadeth riffs, surprisingly. Dave Mustaine, Chris Poland, and Marty Friedman are insanely skilled. Of course, no one is as skilled as 'Ol Bucky.
I worship the ground that Alex Webster walks on. I truly will never be as good a bassist as him. But maybe one day I'll own this beast.

Actually, a Gibson SG would make a great base. You'd have to get a plain body, but that style is perfect. If one were to put the pots in a square configuration, you could have the switch be above pots, and the jack be below. The neck strap button would be placed behind the neck.
