That's an interesting life. I'm 25. I spent a couple years as a young teen living in Guatemala as a missionary, and I spent my late teens in Turkey doing the same. My mother is a doctor, so we spent a lot of time in clinics.
Right now I'm back in school, and doing computational linguistic research. Maybe that's why my views are so progressive right now - considering I've always been a moderate. Even so, I recognize that not all cultures in all forms are compatible with progressive ideals. But as for those that are, I want them to have a fair chance in the US, like so many cultures before them have had.

That's cool. My parents spent time in Turkey. I have to say this. In all my studies I have found something has repeated itself continually which kinda forms my beliefs. So obviously I'm kinda anti-LGBT, anti-Feminism, against tolerance, diversity, and especially against Multiculturalism. The problem I have with associating all the text of the Talmud with Judaism, is that it's not your typical religious text. It's a collection of individual writings from Rabbis throughout history, arguing with each other about how things should be interpreted. In Judaism, the only ones qualified to interpret the Talmud are Rabbis, because it contains a lot of things that aren't the consensus.
Still, when it comes to culture, I do have mixed feelings. It is what binds us together, but it's also what keeps us apart. Truth itself is relative to culture, and so beyond its bounds it means nothing. This is something that has troubled me for years.

I would honestly recommend watching TheGreatestStoryNeverTold.tv which is so accurate. I fact checked that until I was sick and it was RIGHT on.
