How come there are no scientific articles available to the public that directly prove climate change. How come only liberal politicians have access to that supposed info. How com people can never actually cite original climate research?
The reason is that the source of all the climate BS IS the liberal media and politicians.
I challenge anyone ITT to find 3 original climate research sources proving climate change. Buzzfeed and AJ+ and Huffpoo don't count. Find a source that doesn't start with an argument for climate change and end with a call to action, because those are argumentative and calls to action, not actual research. Make sure your info is actually about climate change, not something like rising sealevels affect how wet penguin penises get.

>Journalists, bloggers and communicators of all kinds often find themselves in a contentious debate over the truth behind global warming. The reasons that “skepticism” or “contrarianism” and the like persist in public discourse are numerous, and there is a great deal of research literature on this question.
Another paper on why people don't believe in the big lie.
You literally couldn't cite original research, something that wasn't a political call to action, or even 2 papers about actual climate change. ok, so what in the history of physics has made geomagnetism a climate driver. And I'm happy to hear about your quantum computer that's allowing you to actually run these detailed simulations because global climate is so chaotic it hurts. I looked at the source, while a geomagnetic reversal is "due" these things are inherently unpredictable, and we don't know why they happen, only that they seem to happen at this frequency. Additionally, the only link I could find between this even and claimed climate change was due to a supervolcano eruption, which they didn't even claim to be causally linked only that they happened to coincide.

They're systemically bullied and threatened with termination/loss of grants if they don't get in line and toe it. The very far left controls education from the ground up. Teachers who have be in unions and have a liberal arts degree teach k-5 or 6, Same for middle school. High school is more unions but teachers had to have a masters degree often times in a science, and they were the only ones I saw that had actual dissenting opinions, but they were coerced to toe the line, or loose it all.
Colleges and universities are the worst though. The same admins that create safe spaces, give kids hot coca when their candidate loses, they bully and manipulate. They're in with the people that dole out grant money.
How would one even get money to perform research that could potentially disprove the "common knowledge" of climate change? Every scientists starts with a hypothesis and goes from there right, so if a scientist had a starting hypothesis of something that went against the liberal agenda, how would they ever get funding?
The ones that somehow get around that have another hurdle where journals typically on publish research that proves something. They almost never publish info that disproves something. That problem has lead to major issues in psychology research. Sci Show made a show about the psych and journal problem.

>please enlighten me
Okay. You desperately need it
>ok, so what in the history of physics has made geomagnetism a climate driver
The earth's magnetic field deflects the great majority of the sun's radioactivity past the poles. As it weakens, more begins to bombard the poles, and eventually the earth proper. The ozone layer blocks UVC and some UVB, and no UVA. As more UVC and UVB hit it, it weakens and also simultaneously more is getting through, amplifying the greenhouse effect even as the ozone disappears. More cancer, more climate change, more baked arid areas. Nothing, absolutely nothing you can do about it. It is a cosmic event. A regular one. The magnetic field will always collapse and form roving pseudo-poles, then after a fairly short but indeterminate period of time, the poles will reform opposite with a stronger-than-ever magnetic field. Radiation is reduced to its lowest ebb, the earth is swathed in protective clouds and mists, the ozone regenerates to a density and mass far greater than present day...the magnetic field begins to weaken once more, ever so slowly, until it once more hits a crisis point at which the change accelerates, much like a crumbling building finally collapsing, just in very slow motion by human standards
>And I'm happy to hear about your quantum computer that's allowing you to actually run these detailed simulations

To elaborate for the similarly ignorant, the molten metals and similar substances in the mantle, crust and core are rather like the magnets and metal within an electric motor, only the force is the sun's gravity and the output is the electromagnetism of the poles, and the resultant magnetic field. The earth is an electromagnet as a result of its core and crust spinning opposite directions. Always has been. This is like the very basic prerequisite for life as we know it, and all of you climate alarmists seem to be wholly ignorant of the very fucking basics, and climatologists keep on lying to you and exaggerating and driving you into a panic for two reasons:
Because they can, because you're that fucking goddamn stupid, and...
Because they get a FUCKTON of government money to do it. The scientific establishment never outgrew the Catholic church, they just switched to the next source of funding. It's no longer about researching only what's non-heretical to get funding - it's about researching what's politically fucking expedient to get funding. Sure, since the industrial revolution we figured out that by burning the corpses of fossil life we could power our devices and economy. What we didn't realize is that just like how plants have made this planet filled with oxygen, we're now filling it with C02. We're causing a massive extinction and forcing the temperatures to do the same type of warming effect that takes place on Venus.
Good low level insults though. The problem is not the people who understand the science but rather people like you who argue this subject as conservatives/liberals. It's about facts vs conspiracy.
>>711345991

So we're over the average interval for a magnetic reversal but they're not things to set your watch to. We're due any day now but that's not a reason for one to be happening, they're not that stable, it's like earthquakes, tokyo has been due for 30 years but that doesn't mean a quake is happening tomorrow
also, doing a quick google scholar search on climate change and magnetic field and I got 1 paper that's specifically about that connection that talks about dipole oscillations in geomagnetic field affecting cloud nucleation, but absolutely nothing about driving the greenhouse effect, because of course IR photons that primarily deliver heat to earth are massless and minimally reflected by the earths magnetic field as opposed to massive charged particles in solar wind that are dangerous and radioactive and are reflected by the magnetic field

"Would increased radiation hitting the polar ice caps due to less magnetic field deflection and resultant decreased ozone cause them to melt faster, releasing CO2 at an increased rate, regardless of human interaction?"
This is not a trick question. It is not difficult, either.
Q-what does nearly 450 'peer reviewed' articles about MMGW have in common?
A-27 'reviewer's.
in the 1990's, I went in search of this 'consensus' of supportive scientists. so, um, where can I find it? I did find 180k scientists against MMGW, people should be able to point to/reference 500 to support their contention.

You're right about one thing: In principle, it's easy. We already know how greenhouses warm up due to increased CO2 and Methane level since they're a closed system. Now we have another (mostly) closed system - the entire earth - which has increased levels of CO2 and Methane due to human intervention. Just guess, what happens? It's not difficult to answer.

that's without a doubt the most stupid, fucked up argument I heard all week and I heard a lot of retarded shit throughout the week.
The insights of climat science show that the world is getting fucked up because of our actions so we shouldn't change a thing?
What the fuck? No matter how hard I try, my mind denies me the satisfaction of even remotely understanding how a human being can bring up something so ridiculously wrong and call it an argument. What the hell is wrong with you? I believe everyone has a right to express their opinion but at one point you have to realise that it is the best for all if you just shut the fuck up and quietly watch as the rest of us, who are at least decently intelligent people, make decissions about the future.
The one thing you global warming fucktards seem to ignore is that though the US is a contributor to pollution, there are other countries doing far worse to the environment who get concessions from these "global summits".
Of those countries given a pass the most prominent are Russia and China.
Where the US has to institute regulations on our companies costing them millions; Russia and China work in an environment equal to or worse than the US was 100 years ago in not only ecological awareness but human rights as well.
This allows them to produce the same product far cheaper and undercutting US companies.

And no one cares about conservation of life as we know it, except for those with a arbitrary sense of pride to a meaningless lineage of sapiens shit lords.
1. life will go on regardless of how hot/cold/different the climate get's. That's how evolution works
2. conservation is stupid, since there's literally no point; except slow down the process of survival of the fittest.

This nigga got the point. Simulations are non-science, while there is no way to do a proper, controlled experiment.
Nevertheless, the dynamics of weather patterns are obviously changed. We got lots of small but visible changes, from droughts and snowless winters, to record-breaking hot summers.
But, this does not mean that anyone really understood the dynamics and underlying mechanisms. CO2 levels could be compensated to some extent by plants growth and plankton in the oceans, but droughts is a fucking crap.
The whole ecosystem will surely balance itself, but some highly populated regions of the world could be fucked in the meantime.

Science and America doesn't go hand in hand.
There is the American way, and if there's a better way than the American way, it's the wrong way and should be ignored, as everything non-american is bad because America is the greatest and don't need better ways.
Let Monsanto genetically change crops, so they can spray the crops with very hazardous pesticides, that would kill the crop if it wasn't heavily genetically modified.
Let food companies stuff the food full of hazardous preservatives, so everything has an unbelievable long expiration date.
Let the school system be flawed, by giving schools who doesn't need money, more money so schools who need money can have less money.
Let's deny national and international science that prove our relation to primates, and let's instead support the theory of a man in the cloud who made a man who engineered a woman from a rib, and a talking snake that fools them to eat an forbidden apple.
Let's deny science that proves humans are the cause of the global warming, because I don't wanna ride my bicycle when I can ride my red truck because I'm too fucking lazy to go to the store two blocks away.
Let's have a medical care system that gives you medical care if you give them money. Because it's better to let the poor people be home sick and suffer, than curing and helping them to become a working person again and support society.
Let's have free weapons for everyone because second amendment, and if we would need to form a organized guerrilla against government tyranny, we would totally have a chance against tactical highly technological military assault squads.
Let's give away 50% of the entire budget, directly or indirectly to our military so all the private contractors can make huge profit, and we can keep getting our own killed in wars manufactured by huge corporations that profit from it.
Yes, America is so great. For the people, by the people... And what that means is, for corporations, by the people.

>life will go on regardless of how hot/cold/different the climate get's. That's how evolution works
that's true but the question is, will it be a climate we can survive in?
I dream of the day, when there is a technocratic state, where all politicians also need to be scientists in the field, they are working in. Then only people who have knowledge in a field, are allowed to control it.
It is always funny, when people, like me and I bet every one in this thread, give their half assed researched information and knowledge to their best.
tl;dr this thread is pointless and you all should stfu
>>711348221
C'mon, we both know what you're Tring to achieve here. Air pollution doesn't affect climate change?
>>711335407
It's not up to Trump. In fact, 99% of the things people are shitting their pants about, yeah, Trump has no control over. Ironically, the things he does have control over (such as the Supreme Court nomination) or pretty much glossed over by people pissing themselves about how their gay friend (closet-lover) is going to a re-education camp or something equally retarded.
Don't be such drama queens.
I don't understand people who flat out deny climate change exists... of COURSE it does, hell, the spot I am sitting in used to be under a mile or more of ice at one time or another. THe one constant thing about climate is that it changes! Always has always will.
Where I am not so clear is where we pick a temperature that we feel is best for us (not even the mean temperature over the entire history of the earth according to geologists) and declare that is the temperature the earth should be, and any more/less is a disaster! Even worse is the arrogance of believing that our insignificant scratchings are going to be able to increase/slow/reverse it.
Climate changed long before we infested this planet, climate will continue to change long after we have been wiped off it. Our geologically insignificant time on it won't even amount to a pimple on it!

You know what's cancer - denying facts collected through observation rather than one's feelings on the topic, and failing to prevent the most pressing issue facing our societal survival in the future. When we have 53 years of oil in our reserves
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/world-energy-day-2014-how-much-oil-left-how-long-will-it-last-1471200
With exponential growth in our usage, the problem goes beyond your opinion on green energy. Yes I am a costal researcher, and this is only a debate once the facts are misunderstood. Sea levels are rising at such a rate coastal engineering strategies struggle to combat them even now, and the extent of the irreversable damage we've already emitted into our environment - with over 400 ppm of CO2 leading us into a catastrophic temperature rise unlike any other natural geological period. Land sea ice is melting - hurricanes are stronger - and coastal erosion is occuring at alarming rates as a result. I just hope everyone who reads this takes the time to research this through sites with no agenda, none of that "watts up with that" bullshit, and forms arguments based on evudence, not feelings.

>I don't understand people who flat out deny climate change exists.
No one denies the weather is changing. The battle is over "why" and "how will it be in 50 years?" ... it's complex enough that there is room for scientific doubt.
I honestly don't give a shit as long my AC keeps running.
Cows are killing the earth, so your should really be pushing to ban the mass cattle farming if your actually serious about this issue. YOU FUCKING TWAT.

>Using the word "prove" as some sort of gold standard
It's clear you know nothing about science.
Science cannot prove anything, ever. It can only provide probabilities based on our current knowledge, and currently, the overwhelming majority of scientists attribute the warming of the earth to man made industry.
>>711348737
Calling people stupid online doesn't make you a scientist
>>711339855
evidence doesn't prove anything, it merely suggests it.
>That's how science works.
The more evidence, the more validity, and the only time a theory is proven is when it the theory is put in action.
By the time "climate change via means of human intervention" is an undeniable theory is when the DIRECT evidence.
(I emphasize direct, because climate-control-cucks don't understand what correlation is, especially when there's other theorys on the table.)
>>711344717
All simulations is crap by definition. Including quantum computers itself. They could only conclude that a model has been simulated. They cannot prove any connection to reality. Simulations has nothing to do with anything, but the model it simulates.

For "science" to be valid, it has to be both Repeatable and Predictive.
Global Warming "Science" has failed miserably at both.
>>711349003
>>Probability you're a moron, 99.9997%
Not that guy, but he's exactly right. We can't prove anything. We can only eliminate a significant amount of doubt. "Beyond reasonable doubt", if you will. But that's not proof. That's just "the best we can do."
Anyone with a background in science or history will tell you the same.
>>711348848
The thing is there is always room for scientific doubt, and youre argument is valid, but work in a lab and you'll find out he difference between science and engineering - we deal with concepts so intricate doubt is expected, but the levels of uncertainty in this science are so low it's undeniable, coming from someone who's collected data themselves.
>>711349009
dont accuse me of shooting you in the foot. you're stealing money from me. of course ill shoot you
Global warming/cooling is mildly effected by humans. Mostly though it's from solar and celestial events.
There is nothing we can do to stop the changes coming.
Sometimes I think people forget there is an environment outside of our planet. We live in an isolated bubble that could pop at anytime.
>>711348428
Actually, we have massive evidence pointing one way, and absolutely no evidence pointing the other. You're entire point is just: "Well, this isn't ENOUGH evidence for me"
However, that's not science. In science, you look at the evidence and judge what is more likely based on it. And even while it can be argued that there is still some small room of error, global climate change based on human intervention is simply much more likely.
So, to turn it back to you: Sorry, you are letting your bias affect your opinion.

Don't underestimate the power of executive orders and just how much shit gets done by internally-created regulation that ain't created by legislation. Much of the EPA's regulatory authority is from executive enforcement, for instance.
