I like the R32 GTR more than the R34. The R34 is too "fast and the furious" for me and doesn't have that same sort of weird late 80s to mid 90s Japanese sports car design and JDM underground credit that the R32 GTR had with the MidNight Club

I never really cared about the Fast and the Furious shit. There's just something about it that screams "meant to race". It just looks so hardcore. It's one of the few cars that can pull of the "angry headlights" look because it has be power and the lap times to back it up, and it was before it became an /o/ meme. It just has its own allure that I love. But I do very much like the R32 and R33 as well.

The R34 is cool and it does do the angry look well but it just looks too much like the GTR now, and for me the Nissan GTR was cool but it is a numbers car and once the numbers get surpassed it's time for an update, either back to a Porsche killer or a real generational refresh for numbers again.
The R34 did the transition well but it's just too close to what the GTR is now and with the mythical credit that it has here in the States because we never got them and won't be able to for a few years that will continue. I think the R32 GTR was much more ground breaking in terms of technology and accomplishing the defeat of the Porsche 959

Yeah, I totally agree. The R32 is an incredible machine. And you're right, the R34 and the GTR are a lot alike. The GTR is cool, but it just has this group of little 12 year old's that defend it like it's the greatest thing ever when it isn't. That's why I was so excited when the Viper ACR crushed all those lap records, and I couldn't help but laugh in little brother's face because he's one of those GTR fanboys.
