I don't even know. We used to be extremely close until he got his girlfriend a couple years ago, then he started spending most of his time with her which I found fair since they were a new couple, but it's been a long time since then.
I often wonder if we'll even be friends for much longer at times because of some of the stuff that goes on with him and I now.

Well, I feel like the best way of restoring your friendship is for them to break up. Chances are the girl has discouraged his spending time with you, so that she can spend more with him. There may be a way to preserve both relationships but I don't know how, and like you said - is it even worth it? Well... I had plans for halloween, specifically having a marathon of the silent hill games since I finally got a copy of the 4th one...
And after spending a stupid amount of money getting a copy of it to arrive before halloween (I ordered it at the beginning of september originally) I played through 1, 2, and 3 like before and my ps3 got the YLOD as soon as I put the disc in for 4...
So I spent the remainder of the evening tearing my ps3 apart trying to fix it and get my disc back...
Aside from that I had a visit with my uncle from a different part of the country and he offered to get me a prostitute while we were at a hockey game...
It's been a weird vacation...

I've never done anything like it before, but considering that I tore it down to nearly nothing and reassembled it later and was able to at least get it to turn on (back to the YLOD sadly) without fucking it up is good enough for me. Got a pretty big paperweight now though since I doubt I'll ever fix it.
I'd be less pissed off about my ps3 dying on me if I had gotten more use out of it though since I barely used it and it just got off it's warranty not long ago. Yet my 360 from 2008 is still working perfectly and i used that like crazy in high school.

My main problem with the 360 controller were the sticks and bumpers. I think it was called stick-drift or something when the left or right stick would pretty much permanently move in one direction instead of staying in a sort of neutral position, making it impossible to stay still in a game or menu.
So far using an Xbone controller has been better though since it's sturdier and I haven't had trouble with the sticks but I haven't used it enough to know for sure.
