I'm trying to make pawsocks but I have a very tricky problem on my hands.
I'm wanting to make them with four toes, but of course there needs to be a 2D fabric pattern that can be sewn together and the toes end up overlapping in said fabric pattern.

I have the problem that I get overlaps like this if I try to make it a single 2D piece (the overlap means the same section of fabric is needed for two parts of the same clothing item which is physically impossible) and I don't know where I'd start with making it multiple pieces without having too many seams everywhere.
