Other than not having constant issues because Windows never wants to work for me, I much prefer the ability to customize. It can be as simplistic or complex as you want it to be, elegant, and just all around better.

I've been running it for a while now, so here's my list:
No MS background tasks (such as search indexer, which is giving me hell on all windows machines)
Much less RAM use, works fine with my older laptop
Starts pretty quickly
Software repository makes installing and updating very easy for most things
It works out of the box. Insert disk, boot form disk, works. If you don't want to allways boot from that disk installation is a 30min job where you have to pick a timezone, username and password if you use the simple option, but can also configure all your partitions as you like.
Comes with all basic software as well.
Multiple virtual desktops is also really useful, especially when you don't have a second screen.

I'm probably going to put a different distro of Linux on this ancient HP laptop, if I even can because it's so old. But I have to get it working first. May use it as a server because why not?
But yeah, Windows absolutely fucking hates me. Win8 was already an annoying pain in the ass, but 10 was a fucking nightmare. I'm absolutely never going back when I finally get everything set up.

I have two issues with it.
First of all, the filemanager always loads/generates all thumbnails of an entire folder when opening it. Unlike windows explorer, which only fetches those it needs to display. This means that opening a folder with thousands of pictures may take a while.
Another thing is the upload-dialogue for firefox, which is shit for finding specific files in messy folders.
I might want to add, that not all windows programs work well in Wine, and installing things that aren't in the repositories can be a bit harder.
It's a really good OS after all though.
