Hi guys, if you wanna get your IQ tested for free online and on your own time, without a time limit either mind you, that has high enough accuracy to consider it legitament, try out the Jouve Cerebrals Test of Induction or the JCTI.
it is 52 questions long, requires a few hours to complete. you don't have to finish it in one sitting, you can take days to complete this.
but remember, it is an iq test on the internet, it isn't exactly official. but it's good enough to give you a very good idea of where you IQ lies.
You guys do realize that an IQ test only measures pattern recognition and not intelligence. In order to calculate an true IQ, multiple tests would be administrated.

When I was about seven years old, I had went to multiple institutes around New York to test my IQ. While it has not been accurately measured, they do say that it is above 175. However, I don't care for Mensa or Helliq. Those societies are for arrogant pieces of crap. I spend a majority of my time programming. I used to have it for my resumè, but at this point i think its just so unnecessary.

please do consider the JCTI (Jouve Cerebrals Test of Induction) or the Logica Stella from the iq testing webiste iqnavi.net.
logica stella has an Alpha Cronbach reliablity of 0.92, which is similar to IQ tests such as the WAIS and RAPM (raven advance progressive matrices) JCTI has a very good reliablity number as well that can be compared to those official standardized IQ tests, they are done by pcyhometricists and overall puzzle makers.

Mensa range (130+) is the top 2%, so I agree with you. The other high IQ societies are 145+ (at least most of them) which is the top 0.1%.

I did a computer based test at my university and scored 145. The Mensa test costs 40€ around here, so I didn't really want to take it for a long time, but a few months back I decided to give it a go. The Mensa test is really old fashioned - pen, paper, and a stopwatch. I did get a similar result, so I either variant of test is fine. Neither was a pure logic test though (all matrices). Some popular tests are entirely based on similarities (Tree is to branch as wing is to ...) and these favor English speakers and people with an American education (you have to know about famous artists, musicians and such).
I personally have no experience with improving my score, but a fellow TNS member simply took the test three times. Worked out for him.
