Unfortunately that's not possible without removing the unisink heatsink it's attached to.
To re-assemble THAT would require VRAM thermal pads that I don't have and could never get. I would re-use the ones that are already in the card, but half of those are actually torn in half from the first time I disassembled it. I don't want to risk further damage to those pads.

Hate to break it to you, but you might just want to replace those thermal pads anyway. Because they're ripped, they can't transfer heat as effectively as they're rated to, and could wind up burning up some of your vram. There's no way to just take the faceplate off then remove the fan from the motor?

I'll see if I can't find thermal pads for local cash-and-carry. I want to do a complete overhaul on this card. I thought I did when I first bought it, but I never replaced the pads.
I also used CM Value thermal paste which isn't a top-performer or anything, but thermal paste has never made a crap of a difference from my experience aside from replacing factory paste, or liquid metal TIMs.
