Sucks!
Do SNES games just work/save fine again with new battery backup?
I know of some arcade cabinets which stored some crucial parts of the machine code in RAM with no way for the bootup routine to reload it after that RAM was dead. But there if I remember correctly it was some protection against tampering with the unit.

Sounds like we've both been more of the same lately.
>>703841045
Assuming that it's a battery issue yes. But I'm not sure if it's a battery issue given that it just made a successful save in an early game. I might try it again tomorrow after I finish my homework just to see and make it to the next fortress and save there. Maybe it's just a glitch on chocolate island
Doom on the other hand, I believe does have a dead battery.
The SRAM is battery powered, so as long as it has power, it can make saves.

Yah I don't doubt that it's actually drawn, but it looks kinda unusual because it's so good. But the more I look at it the more I like it, since the rest is also very detailed.
>Even has trigger discipline.
Even for me as a total gun noob that's a pretty easy concept. I don't get why that's ignored so much everywhere.

Many furries lean towards the left side of the political spectrum, and they usually don't know about guns in the slightest.

>Many furries lean towards the left side of the political spectrum, and they usually don't know about guns in the slightest.
I don't have a strong opinion on guns at all. They just exist, but I don't see them. I'm living in Europoor and at least where I am you don't often get to see guns not attached to policedudes.
Fursonally (harhar) I wouldn't mind owning one, and given the possibility I'd love to try shooting one. But there's almost no gun culture here and getting a permit is out of the question for me. They'd never ever give me one. I'm neither pro nor anti gun ownership, but I'd feel better having one lying around.
ima call it here
night
Also one of my biggest fears is that one day I'll have a stroke or something else fucking me up that much that I don't want to live anymore. So I'd be lying around in a hospital in pain and stuff without chance of healing nor getting out of that alive. Just suffering for a long time.
A gun could be very handy to end that miserable state quickly, if I decided that my life wasn't worth living anymore. Because no gun I keep quite some benzodiazepines around which could kill me as well but a gun would be niftier.
>>703846753
Gn8 man! Sleep well
>>703846555
>you don't often get to see guns not attached to policedudes.
That's so strange to me. As someone who lives where pretty much everyone owns at least one gun, it just doesn't make sense that the police would be the ones to carry them. But our second amendment was written to keep the government away from doing that kind of shit, so it's so backwards to me.
>Fursonally (harhar) I wouldn't mind owning one, and given the possibility I'd love to try shooting one.
It's fucking awesome. I've only ever shot my dad's .22 once when I was 12, and I had no idea what I was doing, and my mom kinda had me brainwashed to not like them. But after I got older and her insane beliefs wore off, I started to love them.
>I'm neither pro nor anti gun ownership, but I'd feel better having one lying around.

Yeah I see why you would feel like that. Here other than a few enthusiasts nobody cares at all about guns. Most people are uncomfortable when a gun is somewhere around. On the plus side (almost) nobody ever gets shot. Even a warning shot in the air by somebody (or police) generates a huge media echo. It just isn't part of peoples daily life.
For self-defence I'd much prefer a gun as well. I usually carry a knife (for cutting/doing stuff rather than defence) but I'm not very skilled. An attacker could quite easily get my knife and use it against me..
I've thought of leaving it at home even tho it's a very useful just to prevent something from escalating. Although spectacular a gun isn't _that_ much of a good tool, but I like to think I could actually fight off an intruder or something with it. If regularly trained with it, that is.
>But after I got older and her insane beliefs wore off, I started to love them.
Neat! Glad to hear. I think I'd like them as well, still hope I can try it one day..
>You can find plenty of .onion sites that sell firearms, drugs, literally anything and everything.
I know, but I'd like to own one legally. I'd be way way to paranoid to own an illegal one. Nuh-uh, I'd feel uncomfortable having it in my house in case the policebros would like to raid it. Owning an illegal firearm around here will get you in deep deep shit instantly.

Honestly, the statistics you hear about gun violence is blown way out of proportion, and flat-out wrong. The media uses it for fear-mongering, but gun violence is extremely rare even here in rural Georgia. When it happens, it's literally niggers shooting each other or someone else with illegal firearms 99% of time, dead serious. Any responsible gun owner (which is most of them really) will tell you that they hope they never have to use their gun.
>I think I'd like them as well, still hope I can try it one day..
Come to 'Murica some day. Gerald, Charles, Mous would probably be glad to show you, and certainly myself. Though I definitely have the least experience of the 3 due to my upbringing.
>I'd be way way to paranoid to own an illegal one
Fair enough. But why wouldn't you be able to own one anyway? Here in 'Murica, only felons and those that have been proven to be mentally unstable aren't allowed to have them, and rarely do they actually do a full background check anyway.
>>703848568

>>703847329
>I mean, that's a legitimate reason to keep one. I think we should have to choice to end our life if we want because what's the point in living if it's just shit?
Yah I think so as well. Humanity in that regard seems to be going backwards even, keeping a body alive at every cost. That's pretty fucked up if you ask me.
I've always had that fear but now that I'm alone I can't even ask somebody to end it (if I'd be lucky enough to still be able to communicate). I actually think daily of that and it's giving me some weird anxiety. Like I fear getting a stroke when I'm way too hot or when I feel an unusual pain and then getting into that situation. Mini panic attacks. And me having that accident and being lucky to not end up exactly like that doesn't really make that one easier.
>>703849623
>That's pretty fucked up if you ask me.
It really is. But we're just treated as resources for the government and the elite at this point.
>And me having that accident and being lucky to not end up exactly like that doesn't really make that one easier.

Sounds about right. Whenever I read about guns and americunts in whatever media it all sounds vastly exaggerated and/or manipulated to fit their agenda. Left, right, whatever doesn't matter. There just doesn't seem to be much neutral stuff around when it comes to guns. I can't even imagine how heated things must be in America then.
>Any responsible gun owner (which is most of them really)
Yeah they kinda have to be or we'd be seeing much much more accidents with them. Considering how many guns there are.
>Come to 'Murica some day. Gerald, Charles, Mous would probably be glad to show you, and certainly myself.
If I'll ever come back to the U.S. I'd be very happy to go through with that, thx! Thing is I don't want to give my fingerprints and other biometric data to the authorities just to get a passport for travel. Until now I always could avoid handing them over. Additionally I'm probably on so many watch-lists because of the organisations I'm part of that they'd need a list to list all these lists.
But I liked the U.S., I was there 3 times before, although that was before 9/11.

It can sometimes get pretty crazy, but like everything, it's the loud minority that you hear most about. Most people are pretty neutral about stuff like that. Of course, there are the die-hard libtards and republicunts, but they're a dying breed fortunately. A lot of people don't really care, and you're exactly right about the media just trying to push their agenda.
>Thing is I don't want to give my fingerprints and other biometric data to the authorities just to get a passport for travel.
I can understand that. That's why I've always been so fearful about having to fill out any forms. It makes me paranoid as fuck.
>Additionally I'm probably on so many watch-lists because of the organisations I'm part of that they'd need a list to list all these lists.
Hmm? What organization might that be?
>>703850907
Makes sense.
>>703849192
>But why wouldn't you be able to own one anyway? Here in 'Murica, only felons and those that have been proven to be mentally unstable aren't allowed to have them
Here you have extensive background checks, which includes many things like whether you have a good and stable job or whether you ever had something to do with the police. No need to be a felon, just being searched at a public demonstration 20 years ago is enough for them to deny that. Then you can't have (past) debts anywhere. Phone bill paid to late? Too bad, no gun for you. They ask your family, friends, employer, etc very intimate questions about you etc.
And the list goes on, I know a few people who tried to get a permit for years. Nuh-uh, not a single one got it even though they were much more normal people than I could ever be.
