You do half as much damage with the same reload. Mobility doesn't mean shit since at least in the beta the maps are so close quarters, unless you're capping that point in bumfuck nowhere in conquest. I like using the flanker for anti-infantry, but that's about it. Heavy tank is great for multipurpose duty
Play a few matches. Went sniping and it is fun but im not used to the bullet drop mechanics cuz its the first battlefield multiplayer i ever played. Tanks are op and close to medium range fighting is a nightmare. Its fun but dont know if ill buy. Titalfall 2 beta keeps crashing for me but the game seems mechanically fun. Might pick that up instead

The game is fun, however the rifles are under powered, you literally have to shoot someone in the head three times with the medic rifle to kill them even though the sound coming out of it sounds like it could kill an elephant. The tanks are way too fast and overpowered for WW1, you can forget about winning rush with these tanks coming after you and all you have is a stupid anti tank grenade

Although I don't agree with the AI and elements definitely feel overdesigned, this feels like a much more satisfying step then BF4.
I literally couldn't play BF4 for 10 minutes without crashing for 2 or 3 months after launch. And it just ended up being an update to BF3 (which despite being much different than BF2 I enjoyed immensely)
I would definitely wait until after launch to ascertain the server and netcode situation but I feel like Dice got their shit together and this might be a holiday buy for me.

Yes colonies pulled in troops but the countries already had massive troop makeups which were overwhemingly white. The troops from the colonies werent in such numbers that they would literally be a majority over the already white troops. For example british forces like this game is trying to represent. As always, the classic Frostbite and Dice bugs and glitches but I find it fun to play, I like the break of all the modern warfare. Sure it doesn't work good but it's a beta so overall I think the final game should be lots of fun to play. I don't see this going the same way as Hardline.

The best way I found to deal with tanks is to use the cannons at D, if you have someone not completely brain dead in the heavy tank they can completely run over everything and everyone, considering they can just fall back and auto heal everytime they take damage but if you can get in the cannons at D and get cover so you don't just get attacked by some dickhead who used the plane for an easy ride over towards the middle then bail you can take it out in like 4 hits

Tanks feel OP BUT thats compared to bf4 and 3, in those games you didnt have to go fucking prone to get a shot off with the rocket launcher. I would often times go upwards of 30 kills and under 10 deaths in tanks in bf4 thats with everything coming at you, jets, choppers, artillery, LAVS and infantry. Can do the same in BF1 tanks, but it really feels like they need to at least buff the assault class a bit. I really think they should remove prone on AT rifles, except for the AT class itself.
