My friend, you draw so well and I love it. I think you could make yourself consistent, especially with an avatar, very easily if you just draw it every day. It took me a couple of days to get the hang of this silly fox character. But if you still want to see what I do:
It's a very simple case of blocking out what I see from the reference image I have. Very rough sketch of my subject. If I'm trying hard to get your style down I will make adjustments like in the third step to better fit what you've done-- a bigger arch on the back and moving the face up / stretching it out.
In the fourth step, I've discarded the initial sketch entirely and used whatever little information I've stolen from the initial sketch of your character and applied my own brand of doodling to it so that I can properly manipulate your character without annihilating any semblance of what could make the result be called a drawing. I hope that isn't a fucking mouthful or nothin. (it is)

Artists are here to circlejerk, or take requests. Circlejerkers, like myself, are degenerate and deserve to be euthanized. Otherwise, it's really easy for the artists to just scroll through the thread and look up requests. if anything, you can just quote your request when a new artist shows up and asks for it. It takes up the same number of messages as sitting on your hands asking for an artist every 30 minutes.
It also gets rid of the scenario where you ask if someone is taking requests, they say yes, and then you give them some bumblefuck bullshit they don't want to do.
