The advent of electronic communication has made handwriting in general almost entirely obsolete.
Cursive only exists to make handwriting slightly faster. But comes at a moderate cost to legibility, and requires your audience to be familiar with what's becoming a more and more specialized script.
With cursive becoming more specialized, the time savings of writing in cursive are decreasing, and the cost to the reader of translating out of cursive are increasing. It's just not worth it anymore.
The vast majority of handwriting nowadays is on whiteboards and chalkboards, where the legibility loss from cursive has never been worth it.

Em tempos de crise, muitas revoltas e movimentos contrários foram surgindo, entre eles o partido de caráter fascista, a Ação Integralista Brasileira — os camisas verdes — e outro de caráter comunista, a Aliança Nacional Libertadora.
