However a majority of immigrants have done good for the nation they settle in, for the UK, they have started businesses and employed people, paying taxes etc. And it isn't just Muslims either... Poles, Chinese, Italians, Romanians and yes even Americans have came to the UK and are doing well for themselves and the community they live in.
Another misconception is immigrants only want benefits and they get a nice big house, and free white electrical goods etc... that is a lie. Immigrants get a lower % of what a normal UK person gets for benefits.
For housing it is usually privately owned, and in some cases the owner has allowed multiple families into one building to maximize the profits they receive.
So the real danger to the culture of a country comes from the extremists, not just ISIS, but from the far right and even far left groups. Those that spread fear and lies which will ruin your nation.

I congratulate Iran on their scientific progress. I have no doubt there are some very clever people there. Iran before the Islamic revolution looked like a lovely place. And the Shah was an impressive person. From what I've read, it seems it would be better if the Brits had stayed out.
But, if you define civility as scientific progress, you are oversimplifying. I'd also look to social attitudes, where Islam in Spain in the middle ages was more progressive than the Iran of today.
