Even Trump and his neanderthal supporters were able to figure out "Free Trade" is killing our good jobs.
Johnson is a complete cuck to corporate interests and would be even worse for the economy than Trump.

Literally all of his campaign contributions have been from public donations. And he's against bank bailouts.

This is coming from someone who voted for Johnson in 2012 because I was still mad about Ron Paul.

That Free Trade that you commie fucks hate so much is what built the US, it industrialised the world, it set merchant navies ahead of developing countries, it allowed free and unregulated action between two companies, free and total unrestricted employment, prices and wages.

Free Trade is the best thing for any developed economy, there is no alternative. There is either Free Trade or Dictation. If the Government feels the need to restrict the companies of it's citizens, it should not be in control of the people.

Corporate interests are neccessary for the economy to remain healthy. I used to feel the same way as you, lost in a dream state where fighting against the greys in suits was the best thing to do and I thought it was the right thing to do, then I came back to reality and realised that big business has requirements to operate fully and to be able to attract as much investment, commerce and supply as they can possibly gain. If they don't, your uncle in the Ford factory gets fired because the Lehman Brothers stopped funding production and shipment of pickups to Mexico. Your mother loses her job at the office because her boss is downsizing after the bank he had investments in just disappeared out of thin air, and there won't be a bailout.

I understand the sentiment behind your message but it won't solve anything by removing corporations or banks. I believe we can remove the stigma that comes with serving businesses if they were more transparent and less restricted, so they don't resort to outsourcing to a dangerous factory in China where 20 child workers could die if they don't get paid their $5 a week. Instead of that, they could hire Americans, who would do the job at minimum wage, just long enough to find a better job. That is how it works in reality and in employment.

Get a fucking job and maybe you'll have some sort of idea of what the economy is and what it needs to serve you.

the problem is, while unregulated, these businesses are under no obligation to not just shit on all their workers so so hard and abuse them. Do you think a guy like DTrump is gonna be like 'ah yes, lemme give my nice workers raises, they are nice and have families!' or do you think he'd be inclined to keep that money? Regulation is important.

Stein is a great candidate, but you're throwing away your vote. She will NEVER get elected, and it sucks we have such an unwavering two party system, but it is what it is.
I don't know about you, but I begrudgingly pick Clinton over Trump any day. At least Clinton is harmless, she'll probably be like Obama. I'm good with another 8 years of Obama.

Unregulated companies won't shit on their workers, or abuse them.

When you take a job, you sign a contract with the company, it is a written agreement between you and the corporate entity. It lines out all the things you get from the job and what they expect of you.

Usually, when taking a job, they tell you the salary, working hours, holidays, sick days, maternity days, etc. You don't loke what they're offering? Don't sign the contract.

If you think you're the only person who would decline that job, you're mad. Companies will not get employees with unsatisfactory conditions often enough to keep them in production.

And before you say anything about minimum wage, the problem with the American system is you have too many young dumb acting whores who pay their performance arts degrees off by waitressing in jobs they haven't read the contract for.

Set up a workers Union, call a fucking strike, demand the companies give you a basic salary. Do not force the Government to jump on. Put pressure on the employer and threaten their production through the workforce. Simple.

Companies are a far sight more democratic that you thinl and in some cases, more so than the Government you guys love so much.

Private Prisons should be run entirely for Non-Profit. They should pay workers the same as their public servant counterparts, if not more, as it is a private company. I don't understand why you have a private prison system in the first place, your criminals aren't civil goods, they're criminal people. They should be in the hands of the Judiciary in a Government holding centre until justice has been met. Private healthcare I can understand. Why would you tax the entire street to pay for one guys broken arm? It seems senseless to ask the entire country to pay for something that quite a lot of them won't receive, especially when it comes to cases of Drug Addiction, Non-Accidental Injury, Gender Re-assignment Orifice Surgery (GROS).

Profit in private healthcare could fund new research into cures and vaccines. A private hospital with the cure to cancer can sell the cure for buttons and still make 100% more than the rest of the entire market.

Private Prison systems could also detain the worst criminals in secluded areas, away from suburbs, inner cities and city limits. They could also fund research into better defense equipment for security personel to sell for more profit and enhance national security from criminal citizens, they could maintain a steady and reliable detention center should there be an influx of new criminals.

There is an endless amount of ways those industries could be profitable for the economy, if only they were transparent. If we had just one law restriction companies and corporations, it would be that.

Because if I break my arm, I'll get treatment too. Do you not understand the concept of public services?
And look at France and Scandinavia; they have highly socialized medical care, and they are rated as having the best healthcare systems in the world (France is #1 I believe).

>A private hospital with the cure to cancer can sell the cure for buttons and still make 100% more than the rest of the entire market

Wait, WHAT? You think that's a good thing? Is corporations making money the only good outcome to you, or something? If there's a cure for cancer, I don't want companies jacking up the price and selling it only to those who can afford it, while everyone else continues to die; I want that shit available to everyone. Would you like to privatize the fire department as well? Make people pay money or their house burns down? There's a readon why these things are socialized. Dipshit.

So far, I'd call it imperfect, but that's what happens when the GOP gets a say in healthcare.

I wasn't the one who you've been replying to, but I was referring to the Goldman-Sachs donations
>>

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's a relationship between how a healthcare system is run and how well it performs. What's your explanation for how well they're doing? Cuz it's certainly not privatization.

True. Dumb people seem to believe that the ashes of the current system will be ripe for the progressive movement, so you need to vote for the chaos that would be Trump and what it crash. That's just asinine.

Seriously dude... read a book. Working conditions were FUCKING HORRIVLE before govt intervention.

In most at will states (which is also a policy very libertarian) you are fired for even attempting to start a union. I was an RN with my bachelor's down in TN and it's literally impossible to organize down there, was not only fired, was black listed. Moved up north, doubled my salary, have much better conditions.

Your experiences do not cover everyone out there, don't act like they do.

You do realize that eventually the planet is going to unite under some sort of alliance?

You're not going to continue to exist as a tribe member from East Dakota or wherever you live no.

In the next 50 years especially, given our shrinking resources and our stupidity not to go to Mars to find them, there are going to be more and more calls for a collective society.

>In a private system, if you can't pay, you don't get the service. Great for things like restaurants and shops; not so great for things like healthcare or police, where potentially people's lives are at risk.

I would rather have freedom and risk my life than be imprisoned for not complying with someone's idea of what I "should" do. Fuck you. Charity's awesome, but it's voluntary, or it ain't charity.

I've made my case here.

No wrongdoing in taking money from Goldman Sachs, no corruption, not criminal activity.

To harp on it is being obsessed with conspiracy.

Not trolling

Sick of faggots who make biased statements like "Free Trade creates more jobs than it takes" without expecting to get some shit flipped their way for saying it.

I get it. Neoliberals and right-wing economists agree with you. It's still just your opinion, basically, and know that others not only disagree with it, but are actively fighting to change these kinds of deals to benefit workers.

I have to agree with this. Mind you I'm a moderate libertarian and don't want everything privatised, but both sides seem obsessed with growing the government. Libertarians just seem extreme because as a fringe party only extremes would support them. If they became a standard you would get a watered down version (like most things). I support that.

Not trolling either, but the Great Depression was primarily caused by the fact that countries treated trade as a zero sum game and went ballistic with tariffs. Free trade allows small companies trade with markets outside the US.

Why don't you get your GED before making biased remarks? This is middle school level shit right here.

>>696456021
I don't want anyone who has ever taken speaking fees and campaign contributions from bankers in government anymore, that's my position
>>
>>696449943
not true
things started getting better because the workers unionized
then the unions became lobbying groups that pushed laws that gave unions a monopoly on labor
congress initiated fuck all
all of it was done by unions

and before you start spewing shit about unions only became effective when they got government protection
I live in a right to work state (any worker can be fired for any reason at any time, and any worker can quit at any time for any reason)
there are unions for every major manufacturing industry (mining, metal working, plumbing, electricians, police, fire, medical, military) that are very effective even when they can't force any one working in their field to pay dues

>>696455111
>What's your explanation for how well they're doing? Cuz it's certainly not privatization.
I don't have one any more than you do. There are many other systems, public and private, that are not doing well. If you are asking my opinion on how to improve the US system, I have some suggestions. Above all, education of both patients and physicians. Realistic expectations. A reduction in frivolous prescriptions and surgeries. An end to limitations on new medical schools (this means breaking or taming the AMA). An end to limitations on new NPs and PAs (same thing).
An end to the war on pot. Recent study showed a HUGE reduction on opiate and antidepressant prescriptions in states that have approved medical marijuana.
TORT REFORM. When doctors can't afford to practice because of insurance premiums, something is terribly wrong.
I could go on, but you get the idea.
>>
>>696456870
Not against trade. Against companies paying workers less than $2 a day in some cases and corporations exploiting lack of environmental laws.

In its current state, trade deals create money for corporations, not living wage jobs.

You do have the wherewithal to at least acknowledge this?
>>
>>696455432
Actually, it's not. You are just so indoctrinated that you think so.

>>696445477
You are the reason that American democracy is a fucking joke. Do you think it matters of you "win"? You're not supposed to vote for who you think will come first... it's not a fucking horse race you knobspanner. Vote for the candidate who best represents your views... if everyone does that, the system works. If everyone votes tactically you end up fucked anyhow.

Of course, but those countries would be shit holes without those corporations. While I disagree with the morality of the situation, 2 dollars a day is 10 times what they would get sucking dicks in an alley or shoveling dirt.

Look at most of Africa. They fucked themselves HARD. When the colonial empires fell apart and left, they destroyed what was left instead of using it to their advantage.

Long story short, I'd rather have companies paying living wages in those countries than those people languishing with little chance of survival.
