The Phantom Pain was one of Kojima's latest works with Konami. Another game under Metal Gear but taken with a wider view. It's the first open world Metal Gear with many new features, mechanics, and overall a intricate way to take things. Everyone was so used to a linear title in the past. Story wise there is way too much to explain but essentially it's your standard third person shooter with a very open playing style. Espionage, run and gun, attacking from a far, pretty much play how you want to play. Overall it was a great release but truthfully not all of it is there. Konami was pressed with time and forced Kojima to release it ahead of schedule. Even with all of the content in the game there is still a good percentage missing, hell there is a missing final mission and act but this leads into a whole other topic regarding the name of "The Phantom Pain". It's a lot to explain.
