In any case, you need to keep them somewhere to breed and to live before you use them. So obviously chickens are more problematic than little mice or flies.
After I am finished with my current work, yes. I want to move in to cognitive neuroscience ideally, but I imagine there will be much more opportunities for dementia research. Aging research in general is something else I'd like to do and there is high demand for that given the current aging population problem. If all else fails, I'll settle for cancer research which is partly what I'm doing now.
