Sorry about your doggo :c
I have no doggo, so I will post meow
Duke and Buddy
I think 11 years now. His name is Pojo. Internet points to who gets the name reference
A better picture of Duke.
My doggo! He's turning 9 this year so I'm thinking about getting a puppy in the next year.
My doggo is good dogger
This is my friends dog chip chop
here's my stupidly happy faggot of a dog out in the yard.
Sorry about your doggo, >>692581167
cute meow I'll post my meow too, he passed away about a year ago. Still miss him :(
Here's both of them being complete fucking niggers up on the furniture.
Before and after hair cut for my little guy
Needing some advice from doggo owners, I would like to have one and am torn between a St. Bernard or a standard poodle.
I know saints tend to drool, but they're just such big floofers.
Poodles are known to be protective so you will need to train it more to be used to people. And from my experience with Bernards they give 0 shits and are loyal to the ends of the earth -Op
Ps: anyone who cares can be a great owner for any pup good luck
I know I'm just one person with one good experience, but I got a shepherd-ish mutt from the shelter and I'll never do anything else. If you're not putting it to the specific tasks purebreds were bred for, why in the hell do you need a purebred?
If you're adamant, that's your prerogative. If you were on /g/, I'd ask "what's your use case" -- as in what do you want out of a dog?
I live in an apartment right now, but thinking about it when I move back to upstate NY.
No kids, just married with a cat.
I've read that about them, I considered them for getting into falconry tbh. I had a poodle mix as a kid so got a soft spot for them.
Saints are so cool, just worried that they track in so much dirt and drool.
Thank you titan and anon
More for the benefit of knowing more of what traits I'll be getting. Most purebreds are going to be pretty close in temperment. I wouldn't pass up the right dog at a shelter though, don't get me wrong.
I'd just like a dog who will chill with me in the house and play with me in the snow and not attack my cat.
sorry about your doggo OP :[
I dont have a doggo, but here's my poggo
I don't know, and I guess it's as much up to the owner rather than anything inherent. Was bitten by a small one as a kid, never liked them. Standards might be fine.
I've owned Rotty/Rhodesian ridgeback crosses which people made assumptions about, but they were friendly goofs.
Heres a better 1 just 4 u. As she prays for her untinely death
Here's Boots' best friend, Lady.
Poodles are wonderful. Never met a poodle I didn't love. I can't say I've had the privilege of meeting any bernos though. Aside from upkeep (getting the poodle groomed and picking up after the St Bernard's sliver) a dog is a dog is a dog. Just treat them right, socialize them, and train them to not tear the house apart and they'll be the perfect pet.
Op here you guys have made me feel great with this thread I was having a rough week and this really raised my spirits. Have another picture of fatdog which is what we used to call him
Best pupper. She was a good dog. Calm, loved pets, always loyal and loved to give kisses. RIP Heart: 2000-2014
Glad to hear it. Exploitable pic of one of my doggos as payment for a good thread.
Funny. Most chihuahuas I've met are very friendly and most corgis are just bundles of energy. Just goes to show that breed isn't the sole determinant of temperament. My best friend's sister is a tweaker that hoards animals (cats primarily) and has a pitbull shar pei mix that's descended from various lines of fighting dogs, but is the sweetest little fatso you've ever met. So protective of every litter of kittens that shows up. She's even nicked me a couple times because she thought I was hurting them.
Yeah, she was getting old. Legs were giving out on her and she stopped eating. She died on a Saturday. I remember it well because I had to leave for marching band practice at a local stadium. When I came back, I noticed she wasn't in the front door, waiting for me. My mom came to me and told me that while I was gone, Heart tried getting up from her bed, but just couldn't do it. After a third try, she just went limp and stopped breathing. She took her body to the vet to have it disposed. Didn't want me coming home to see her in such a pathetic state. Fuck, now I'm crying. Miss her so much.
That's awful, anon. But I'm glad she lived a long, full life. RIP Heart
My Laika is getting old too. DXd with hip dysplasia (GET REPUTABLE BREEDERS YOU FGTS) very early in life and she's been living with it ever since. She'll be 12 at the end of this year, I don't think she'll see 13. :(
All good over here, friendo, though my pup is only two and a half and is pit-boxer so only time will tell.
We are frequently agile and exercise a lot together to avoid things like that.
Thanks for the sympathy. I've needed a good reason to cry. She had an injury jumping out of our SUV which I think led to her weak legs.
Cherish the time you have with Laika. Give her lots of love for me c:
But even Tater has something wrong with him. He's got the Addison's Disease.
Does anyone even have a healthy doggo?
He was just chillen, I touch him and he literally stares at me like this for 10 minutes acting all offended
All healthy over here.
That's just the angle.
He's actually not too fond of dark-skinned people.
I had this faze where all I would do was take ugly pictures of my dougs
Something about your picture looked very "Shadow of the Colossus" to me.
Lmfao same with mine. He's also white as shit
Say hi to Grub.
He's one of Boots' would be brothers.
I'm sorry OP, don't have any pics of my doggo but I think this'll suffice.
I think it spans from the fact that when he was actually a pup and not a 120 lb. baby that some little nig nogs tried to steal him and he bit them.
Then they had the nerve to call animal control on me saying that he attacked them so that was fun.
My doggo. He's kinda small does anyone know the breed?
Doge and my youngest brother about a year ago.
Last picture I have of him. Here hes about 56lb, currently 178
Mastiffs are great.
My pupper. Adopted her, had for a few years, loved her a lot. She got hit by a car a few months ago, was already dead when I got to her.
Mini-me father and son taken a while ago Daddy is gone son old but chillin, love my boys
I can't let mine get that much fluff in the summer. It's just too hot and I feel bad.
One was fully brown, and the other was mostly a bright blue with brown bits. Then it turned mostly brown and whatever blue was left really faded, but she doesn't have vision problems. Unfortunately I don't make enough money to keep her or see her often at all, bless my father for keeping her and taking care of her for so long. She's 7 or 8 now and I miss her a lot. Now I have all the feels goodbye
They do resemble one another in the face rather well, as well as the build, though most of the pictures I've posted of him are old.
Yeah, I keep him and his brother in a lot more during the summer because of that. I considered having them shaved but the groomer told me it's bad for their coats (?) On the other hand, winter is a blast
Yoshi. 12 year old Tibetan Terrier. Has cataracts on his right eye
That's the pitbull build and boxer chest so he looks more filled out, but most of it actually is muscle even though he loses it if he feels like being stubborn and not eating because he's a picky dog.
Here is another one of her when she were at the vet for some vaccination :)
ya your guy got dat boxer, longer than this asshole, he's got my back tho
wait a fucking minute.... Lori? Loris i-i-i-i-i-is that you???????? also check out my dog guys, mind rating him?
This is Tígull, he is 11 years old and still acts like a puppy.
Man, I know that hurts
My dog died early this year
she was 12 years old
That's a quality pupper, friend guy.
Warms my heart when I see older dogs retaining their youth.
Yeah, i also have a cripple meow.
Hmm. Boots and Lady have taken down a hog together with no prior knowledge yet he's afraid of squeaky toys, inanimate objects that shouldn't move but do, and bugs. Go figure.
(Him on his second birthday.)
This is my doggo as a puppy. American Bulldog. He was the runt. Sweetest dog I've had. He turned 8 in January. We're pretty sure now that he has Cushing's. Not sure what to do. He's gained a lot of weight and is very immobile. Breaths heavy and pants a lot. Has some weird growths and tumors on him. We've taken him to a vet and they didn't really tell us much. Not sure how much it'll cost to keep him going if it comes to that point.
Hope im not late to the party. Here's my chubber
Sounds like he lived a good long life. I can only hope the same for my doggo
I had one of those. She died in 2009 and was around 14 years old.
saved a homeless doggo from getting run over from cars at a intersection. look a lot like this
I know that feel anon. My dogger is in the final stage of heart failure and I'm just counting down the days. ;_;
He brings the stick back but runs away when you try to take it.
