any car guys on /b/ tonight?
post/rate/insult/speculate penis sizes here.
first up is my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost performance pack.
followed by my 2014 F150 King Ranch Ecoboost.
I'll save you the boredom and refrain from posting my daily, a 2009 Honda CR-V.
what are you driving, /b/?
First car I've legit bought. They had the R/T model there, but it was a 2010 with 80,xxx miles on it.
Better judgement said get this. Base model, 2015 with 16,xxx on it.
Don't have a pic of my truck, but it looks very similar to this one
1994 F150 XLT with 90,000 miles
well I'm in no position to judge you for buying a pony car without a V8. it's cool they finally figured out how to put something besides a 16" wheel on a base model, it doesn't look bad at all.
I'm surprised this took as long as it did
it's 320hp, faster than a pre-2011 GT V8 by most accounts and gets over 30 mpg. the sound takes some getting used to but it's a cool engine and I'm really happy with it. it's gonna be getting a catless downpipe and an ethanol blend tune soon.
thank you, yeah the fact that they just decided to go with a K03 turbo on everything is kind of a downer but they're cheap and not as likely to blow themselves to shit as a lot of IHI turbos. the only thing I'm still apprehensive about is the direct injection because it's the only thing I've never really fiddled with before.
>Tfw all I want is a Kouki S14 240SX (USDM version of the Silvia), but most people selling them beat the shit out of the things
>Tfw I drive a fucking 2003 Civic without a single performance mod on it.
21 just brought a 2016 mitsubishi lancer ES Sport for $19,840 it isnt a bad car
if you can find me a Civic available in the US that's faster, stock for stock, I will gladly admit the err of my ways.
Just got a new truck after my 97 s10 broke down for the 16th time
Not a fan of the Evo X personally. The body style of the Evo 8 and Evo 9 is my favorite, plus you can't go wrong with that classic 4G63 Evo motor.
Dude, I just want a good S14 to have as a project car. I mean, SR20DET swaps in those are literally bolt-on conversions.
the truck has been tuned since it had like 150 miles on it, the Mustang isn't tuned yet but there area few examples of bolt-on Ecoboost Mustangs making upwards of 350whp and 400wtq, and some of the trucks making 400whp and 500+ wtq. unfortunately I live at a pretty high altitude so the power increases are significantly less here.
but, funny story, I actually blew the engine in the truck at 9800 miles because I was dumb enough to go with a really sketchy tune because I wanted more power, and it detonated itself to pieces.
why would you post this? arent you ashamed?
fucking landwhale girlfriend in one of those pics, too
obviously you're fucking rednecks... but still... jesus christ
I figured they had the potential
Gonna see people going around here in a couple of years in seemingly stock stangs packing a stronger bottom end, gaskets and injectors going as fast or faster than Corvettes. Ford's got one hell of a product if they establish a good aftermarket.
I'll save you the suspense
Penis: 8"long, 5" girth
Shoulder Width: 22.5" acromion to acromion
IQ: 140 from a real proctored test (no online feelgood memetest bs)
Hair: Long, slightly wavy, non-balding
Weight: Fat, but losing weight effectively
Job: Solid state chemist
Mentality: Severely depressed
Not a big fan of Toyota tbh. Even if I would get a Toyota, I'd rather have a last-gen Chaser with a 2JZ-GTE swap, but unfortunately due to US import laws I wouldn't be able to bring one over for another decade or so.
My '87 Dakota. First vehicle I've ever owned, had it for ten years now. Had a little 4 banger motor
5 speed transmission went out of it last year, and manual transmissions are impossible to find in the US. So, I dropped a 360 Chrysler smallblock in it with an auto
01 M3 6MT.
2003 Warrior 350
1997 YZ 250
Flatout rice doesn't equal a little dick. Ever see one of those jacked up turbo diesels with massive chrome rims and an unneccesary amount of lights? That's a little dick car. Though I still feel sorry for all those civics who fought and lost against the Fast and the Furious rice rush.
all your cars are shit.
would rek all of your cars with my vette
this one is a given but i'll post it anyway because it looks good
Dude the Prius is a shit hybrid that only gets good mileage if you drive it like a cunt. I can get over 32mpg in my vette if it drive it the same way.
98' 6spd RZ MKIV
Just got a fresh coat of paint and some new bodyparts
not the mustang guy but stock for stock no other civic would beat that mustang and even they 2015 type r would be close as they weight about the same and have same power.
I came here to race boi.
Stop bragging about shit you don't own. You probably work at the carwash where this picture was taken.
Unfortunately. And again, given US import laws we probably won't be able to bring them over until... 2040-ish~
Then don't drive like an ass.
Automatic no there.
Honestly, I'm tempted to look for an old MX 5 Miata instead seeing as how cheap parts for the fucking things are but seeing as they're really small I doubt I'll fit comfortably in one without some extensive modification to the interior. (I'm 6'2" 190lbs).
Another thing I've been looking into are the old S13 Silvias, seeing as you can now import them from Japan here into the States. Already got the SR20DET's in them, no swapping from a KA24DE needed, but that's not gonna be cheap.
Something expensive I never drive...
n8 I streetrace pretty regularly in Houston. Mustangs are not fast cars. You understand that a taurus, the Ford family sedan, is faster than a mustang, right? On the topic of civics, my friend drives an 06 Civic, stock. I'ms ure you weren't aware, but 2006 civic models are probably the second worst civics ever made. It's still faster than a mustang.
I want to also remind you that Mustangs were pony cars meant for busy husbands to buy for their wives. It's literally a woman's car.
My 04 Chevy Colorado, I hate how slow the 5 cyl. When I'm not such a broke piece of shit I want to drop the 6.2 from the GMC 3500 van.
in the same room as the other ... what ever
Single or twin turbo?
Are JDM cars really easy to get down in drop bear country? Last time I was in Sydney I saw a shitload of Skylines and other JDM cars all over the fucking place.
what a shit car its not even jdm like mine
You could definitely fit in a Miata. Might have just your hair over the windshield, but you could.
People are probably going to overvalue the SR20s that come in for a bit but they'll settle within a couple months to years.
She's just stock twins for now
And yeh JDM cars are big over here, cheap as fuck too compared to the US
Here's my dd, /b/ros.
I really don't think you did, though. I only said it was faster than something else, I did not say it was fast. kind of like saying a John Deere lawn tractor is faster than the motorized scooter you can borrow at Target. if you need any more assistance trying to grasp the situation, let me know, and I'll do what I can to help.
just wait for my vtec to kick in
The better version of OP's car. 562 RWHP with supercharger.
I'd probably end up doing a hardtop installation to the thing right off the bat, so that still might be an issue. I'd rather not smash my head into the fucker if I hit a pothole or something.
Mate, it's a fucking track car. Functional aero is important on those things, you know.
I bet. You guys don't have an arbitrary 25-year import ban law like we do. Fuck, even the Canadians have it easier than us, their import law is like 10-15 years or so before you can import a car.
My babbies. Ones a beater, other is the damn near mint car i use for everything else
You bought a Mustang eh? neat
2011 Accord Coupe, V6, 6 speed. First car I bought on my own. Paid 21k when I got it in 2013 with pretty low miles and a lot of warranty left (the car didn't originally sell till early 2012 for some reason)
Its quick enough to be exciting, has an excellent gearbox, somewhat decent MPG, safe, good features, does good in snow. I've autocrossed it a few times. It does have an 8 inch wide wheel, so I have 245s on it all around.
I really wish they had an Acura version of the Accord coupe though, could really use some better seats.
Currently driving an 09 Malibu V6 in white. Looks like a fleet vehicle, but it's a decent daily driver.
My first car was a 73 AMC Hornet wagon. What I'd give to get it back......(probably about 5 grand)
i luv it, if it becomes broken beyond repair ill buy another one, they're great
I'm only gonna post stuff like this, nothing lewd
I see. Then its settled, if I can't get an S14 240SX in good condition or a S13 Silvia for a relatively decent price within the next 6 months or so, I'll start looking for an MX5 Miata to turn into my little project car.
Not really looking to make a drift car, just want something more for hooning backroads and the occasional track day. V8 would be too much power for something that's supposed to do relatively sharp corners.
I did, it was a good truck but with my recent ankle surgeries it was difficult to get in and especially out of. That plus paying for it while not driving it was getting annoying.
Still in the process of getting the FD, I got it for under $5K so I couldn't pass it up.
Only one jeep /b/ro?
Pic not actual car but same color and all.
Stage 2 and Daily drive.
That's the secret though. You won't have to tack on bolt-ons because it alreads has plenty of power. Just keep the differential open and take some weight off of it if you plan to do come city hooning.
loving the trucks guys. i myself have a 78 scottsdale
>5.0 Liter V8
Again, seems overkill for my purposes. A boosted 2.0L 4 banger will be enough for what I need. I don't want to drive off a fucking cliffside and fall to my death because I couldn't control the power.
>Tfw no proper manual GT-R R35
I hope I'm not the only one here who hates this automatic/paddle shifter bullshit OEMs are doing nowadays.
In used condition a 5.0 is going to make as much power if not significantly more than a boosted 1.6 or 1.8 miata. There's tons of them with aftermarket performance and suspension floating around on craigslist for less than a Miata project with none of the wait or work time.
>Falling for the BMW douche driver meme
Just because someone makes more than you doesn't mean theyre bad people.
Don't forget the blinker switch being untouched and honking the microsecond after the light turns green
It's my favorite color, it doesn't come out of the garage very often, I hated the stock color (jerez black, the most common color of the generation)
My girlfriend is sort of that way. I try to drive respectfully and fight the stigma.
2014 mustang v6 premium auto, 40k miles. got it when i was 15, 17 now. I have no penis, it fell off after the engine mods kek
Engine bay pic
Volvo master race reporting - 2004 S40 diesel sport. Like the pic, but dark blue.
I drive through Scottsdale, Arizona every fucking day. You know how many shitty BMW drivers there are out here? You know how many times I get cut off, flipped off, and flashed by BMW drivers every time I drive down the 101? Even the fucking occasional Lambo/Ferrari owner out here are more civilized than these shitcunts.
You've gained back some of my respect. You need a new girlfriend if that's the case. Also, what the fuck is that on your engine bay pic? >>692579632 Is that a belt driven turbo?
Side note, I actually really like that color. Is it a respray or a wrap of some kind?
Well firstly, it doesn't come out of the garage often. Secondly, I don't piss anyone off enough to do that. It's not too often that someone randomly keys someones car for no reason. It's parked in a secure garage.
Good for you bro, and I like BMWs. In my area the people who drive most aggressively are chicks. Either that or the young kids who just got their car. It takes people a while to figure out its not a dick measuring contest. I dont want to have to fix my car.
I'm 23 years old, attractive with a 7" cock size and I drive a bitch ass 2010 Ford Fusion. Crucify me.
Pic related, it's Loretta.
I feel you get a lot of hate because you didnt buy Mopar. No. There is no stock civic close to as fast as the eco boost mustang. Now a k20 with a few mods could give you a run for your money.
It's a vinyl wrap. It's a supercharger. The silver portion is the compressor. Superchargers are belt driven, while turbos are exhaust driven. The mechanisms are +/- the same - compressed air.
I always admired BMWs from a young age. It isn't about money or status. The typical douchebag drivers aren't often enthusiasts, they're usually teenagers and housewives, from my experience.
Got the engine in for rebuild right now. Got a GM TBI set-up going on it, and it will be.
Costs like $600 to import a good kit in from Australia, though. Fuck getting parts for old foreign trucks
>It's a supercharger
Never seen one with a compressor similar in appearance to that of a turbocharger before. Then again, I'm part of the crowd that loves a turbo with just the right amount of lag so I don't really know much about mechanical superchargers.
I think its cool man dont listen to the hate. But you said its garaged a lot? What kinda maintenance do you do on her. I've always loved bmws. I fell in love with the z3 as a kid, but I'm too big for one, I'd looks stupid.
I only ask bec. my uncle had a bmw and said it spent more time in the shop than on the road. Is the preventative maint. for that thing really expensive?
I drive a jeep wrangler, pretty cheap to fix. I always did like bmws though.
Bloody mx5 2016
Dick status: chopped off and frozen by ex wife
In terms of things breaking, I've only had 1 issue, and it was covered under warranty. In terms of maintenance, it's a bit pricey due to the supercharger. 3000 mile oil changes, 10,000 mile spark plugs, I've done transmission fluid, brake pads, etc. I do the work myself, so it's probably $1000-1500/year.
Nice and clean. I like your ride, you should get a little bit of track time to really get to know her and her handling. I still got my second car,a 2004 WRX I picked up in 2005. Treat her right and practice when you can. It will bring you years of joy.
>Admitting he could've had a V10 sedan for less than his M3
>Accepts the feasibility of the M3 over the M5
As long as the M3 sounds like heaven, we can't chastize you for missing out on one of the best sedans ever made
Not M3-fag, but growing up my parents had a few BMWs and German cars.
Dad was a major Carguy who did all the work himself and he wouldnt even bother to keep any of his past 20K miles because they would all turn into moneydumps of repairing this and that. Not to mention they basically rob you when you have to buy their parts.
>imblying hobbies in any way relate to benis size
Oh ok cool. I've been wanting to learn to work on the jeep for a long time, but I dont know anyone who works on one to learn from. Thats not bad though. I think my uncle just drove his too hard. What year is that bmw?
Oh yeah I figured the parts were expensive as hell. Parts for the Jeep arent bad. And in 170,000 miles Ive only had to replace a U-Joint, brakes, tires, fluids, and batteries. Oh and I changed out a few dead headlights, but at least that I can do myself.
Well, in E92 M3's there are a lot of heat issues, due to the crowded engine bay. There's one turbo kit available for it, for a cool $20k, but there have been numerous issues with thrown rods and heat soak. So it's more or less un-turbo-able.
Centrifugal superchargers dont provide as much low end torque as say, a twin screw or roots, but provide significantly more on the top end.
Piss them off in what way?
>Vortech V3 SI
Quick google search on this says yes. The only major difference between superchargers and turbochargers is what drives them andhow they compress air into an engine. Turbos usually have some level of lag between when you shift gears and when you're actually making usable boost, usually depending on the size of the turbo itself. The bigger, the laggier, but also the more powerful. Mechanical turbochargers on the other hand create boost pressure with near zero lag between shifts. My confusion with your installation is that I've never seen a centrifugal supercharger (thanks >>692581516 for telling me the proper name for these things) like that before, most of the ones I've had experience with were the more traditional whiny as hell twin-screw variety common on what most would think of as muscle cars such as the SRT Hellcat Chargers and Challangers.
Roots style is the most common, I believe the Hellcat is a roots. The whiny ones give good low end torque, but top out pretty fast, and suffer at the top end. Racing a Hellcat from a dig, they would likely get me up to about 20mph, but once the supercharger is consistently under significant boost, I would take off.
Oh I already stated above, that's not really my cup of tea. I try to fight the stigma. I let people in when they're trying to merge, use my blinker religiously, and try to be friendly to everyone on the road.
