This is essential. DO NOT use cheap plastic razors. Invest in a double edge safety razor. You'll save money AND you'll only have to ever buy one for the rest of your life.
I bought a 34c Merkur DE Safety Razor.
A tube of Proraso shaving cream
100 x Feather (the best) Blades
And an Omega shaving brush
I use a cheap cereal bowl to lather-up.
THE best shave I have ever had. Do it /bro's, you'll never regret it.
Actually I don't like to shave, but while I'm here any recommendations on a trimmer?
Use a slant bar razor
Use a boar hair brush, I prefer semogue
Use shaving soap, not cream
Buy a blade sample pack and try everything, you will find your favorite blade
Make sure to use a good aftershave
This guy's wet shave tutorials are good:
Represent it's so fucking cheap, my grandfather's razor, an old ass gilette and works better then some one I bought online and is kind of neat and nostalgic I guess using something so old. I use some soap my girl bought me for my birthday it's from something in Bond Street in London its popular for their products. Sandalwood flavored and smells like man scent, like can't explain just plain man from like 30 years ago not some crazy strong smell just real basic. Blades are dirt cheap and I get tons of use out of them
I prefer straight razors, it's a good deal of fun to restore and maintain them yourself.
I know, that's my next brush. I didn't want to spend too much at first but yes, a badger brush is next.
>Implying the underagers on /b/ (the majority) can grow a beard.
I agree, I got on a while back, never use those piss tier things, DE or Straight or get the fuck out.
Bond Street is the fucking bomb man, Lime lather is great.
I gave up shaving when I left the Marines, I have a "Grizzly Adams" now, I look like some kind of wildman (or so others tell me).
I have two straight razors, I use them for slitting throats and nothing else.
You guys are pretty-boys trying to look civilized, man's nature is not to be caged, I think this applies to all things.
Be the sheep or the wolf, all I ever see you guys do is bleat.
>left the Marines
>man's nature is not to be caged
>mfw this post is viral marketing but it's working because i've never wanted anything so bad in my life
Not sure how well the new ones would but I mean there's really nothing that can wear down, this one is like pure brass on top of a steel threading and a copper shaving surface that goes against the skin, and it's been like polished to like a mirror over decades of shaving kind of neat
Bond street really is amazing, before I just always used mug lather soap but it made her break out if shed use the sink afterwards and it smells like weird cheap restaurant bathroom soap lol
Why would they mention a cereal boewl and not a Merkur branded shaving bowl or scuttle?
BS. if you treat a disposable like it isn't so disposable it will last just as long. I get about 2 months from one disposable. You can't get that many shaves from a safety razor. Stop knocking your disposables into the sink. clean your face before shaving. rinse often. soap your face before shaving.
i have a "bergischer löwe" razor.
its good but you are not able to shave against the dash. (i hope i translated it right)
the good thing is you dont have to buy razor blades whatsoever
Unless more than half are pre 1983, and it doesn't look like they are.
Not knocking the collection, it's cool in its own right, I was just questioning how much restoring went into that collection.
I was drunk and bored before I shaved my legs with one, I made a barber shop pole swirl going up and used like half of a soap, my girlfriend was like what the fuck did you do ?+
Love Eton college. Also love trumpers west indies limes, smells like summer.
To people who want to try something without forking out too much cash, those of us in the US can go to bath and body works. Their C.O. Bigelow shaving cream is repackaged proraso, and you can get a travel tube for $5, it'll last a couple months of daily use. It has eucalyptus and menthol, so its great for summer.
I'm flattered by your assumption that this is somehow something I have had to purloin and pass as my own.
Trust me, this is all my own work.
You will realize too late the nature of yourself and curse yourself for being so dismissive and cynical.
Laugh at me if you like, I share only for my own benefit, I have tried my best to help you out of the world you have settled for.
A dialogue is welcome, but it's the chan and I know what awaits me.
Like the old Chinese proverb says "A nail that sticks out will be hammered", you guys stay low, I can take my own.
ALWAYS cancer on /b. Even in a thread that's actually useful.
You need to try different blades. I have serious facial hair and I do fine after I found the right blade. Thick hair could use sharper blades with a light touch like the feathers op mentioned. (Too much pushing/forcing the blade like with a cartridge will give you serious razor burn.) A good shaving cream is important, too. It does take effort to get these right but when you do, you get an amazing shave for pennies.
Always has to be an asshole to come in and shit up a thread
Perhaps I'm using the wrong word. These all came from thrift/antique shops, and then I usually just have to sharpen them and remove the patina. I have replaced some of the scales and completely reground a few of them.
Oh do grow up. Viral marketing, which is what's going on ITT, relies on someone apparently independent endorsing a product he's been paid to post about.
It'd look pretty suspicious if the Merkur shill had a Merkur brush, a Merkur bowl with Merkur-branded shaving cream, a Merkur T-shirt, Merkur shorts, Merkur underpants, Merkur socks and a Merkur dildo rammed up his ass then came on and claimed "Hurr durr, I'm completely independent and impartial, but I think this Merkur razor is the best".
VIRAL MARKETING VIRAL MARKETING
Yea...Merkur has been around longer than any of us, and they are paying people to come on the neckbeard capital, /b/, and shill.
Cause that makes a lot of sense.
no idea what hones is but i have 2 strops.
1 is just a normal leather one
the second is a special one u have to use like once in a year. (it is prepared with iron oxide; see picture)
you also rarely have to sharpen the blade itself.. if you into that stuff you can do it yourself with japanese waterstones or you can send it away for like 20 euros and some guy does that for you
Use a straight razor for that.
I got saggy balls when it's too hot and evry other kinf of razor just catch the skin and I get cuts here and there.
With a cut throat, either you have no cut at all and smooth balls, or no balls at all, but for now I'm still ok about that part.
Nah, the words right.
Just because you bought them from those stores, doesn't mean they're old.
There are some good old ones in that bunch, but majority aren't.
As I said, still a good collection though.
We love you brother, no matter your pain.
Maybe that's the problem for me, have thick hairgrowth and when I shaved with a Merkur I ripped off half my skin along with the hair. Don't have that problem as often with a "cheap" razor
You got me, I'm Mr. Merkur, the owner of a large razor company, and I'm here on /b/ to shill my product. I will make much money from the sales on this thread. Thank you for creating even more attention to this thread.
I bet you like vaping and have a fedora as well
the only utility i see for this thread is to aware people on how to shave off their neckbeards. i can't imagine someone on /b/ being interested in shaving. there are good forums for that.
anyway, merkur makes some shitty safety razors compared to older, TTO or more expensive models. EJ and Gillette Super Speed are good alternatives, with Gillette being cheaper.
omega brushes are legit but also not really necessary. you can use a safety razor with any shaving cream.
and you can't go wrong with Astra SP blades. don't forget to dry the blade off and they will last longer. rather than saving money on cheap blades, you will have less moments where you realize that you would have gotten a better shave if you had changed the blade sooner.
Merkur Progress, you can adjust the blade for closeness. I don't like the plastic knob but there are places that can mod them for you.
> Japanese water stones
> send it away
Or you could use a 2 stage sharpening stone, then a strop.
It's a blade, and contrary to 4chan belief, non Japanese can make blades sharp...
It's not difficult
I got one of those "as seen on TV" tough blade razors (that Brett Favre sponsors).
Not the greatest shave ever, but shit, it's always a good shave, the blades are easy to clean, and they do last forever.
Perfect if you don't have a lot of time. I can shave dry with it and its not bad
I have very strong hair and very sensitive skin. That said. I am currently trying a cheaper Bic razor and I don't like it. I have a couple nicks on my throat from its aggressive razor. I usually use a tri blade of a good brand. Try it. The basic rules are:
1. treat razor with the same respect as a non-disposable.
2. Shave after shower when face has no dirt that would dull razor.
3. soap face to make shaving smoother and keep bacteria from building up on razor (otherwise will cause skin irritation after a few shaves)
4. Never tap razor into sink to clean out razor.
5. rinse frequently. Don't allow hair to build up
6. keep an old toothbrush around to clean out your razor if need be. Wipe off on towel after shaving
7. Dont keep in a bowl of olive oil as some would suggest. This doesn't really help from my experience. The razor will not oxidize if kept clean.
Honestly I have been doing this for a year. I have experimented with several brands and several techniques because I live in a country where it is very hard to get any other type of razor. I wanted to try both straight edge and safety but after trying this I found that there isn't any need. If I can go through half a dozen razors in a year then it is so cheap there is just no reason... except how cool the other types are... which definitely tempts me. I would love to have an antique safety or a few beautiful straight edge.
>Glad you could abandon the fluffy threads for a while though and hang with us, you're fun.
I'm not fun though, I don't like anything furry except to eat.
Hanging with you sounds dreadful, I could never abandon the samefag though.
Seriously, you are very wrong. I have very tough and very thick facial hair. Incidentally I also have sensitive skin. Because of this I have to soak my face very well before shaving. If I dry shave I would rip my skin off. Don't mock. This isn't that sort of thread. I was just sharing my own experiences. I do love the style of safety razors but as far as frugality goes it doesn't add up for me, not when I can go so long with a disposable.
I have a beard but I use this for my neck and cheek lines. I paid under $20 for a new old stock 1968 Gillette. $14 for 100 blades (literally several years worth), 40 for a tub of cream and 70 for a brush. Under $150 for 2-3 years worth compared to spending about $300 a year on mach3
Too bad sister, we are hanging and banging and samefagging and you're helping me shill for a large razor company, remember? Keep up the good work, we are counting on you to deliver.
Just get a straight and cut a throat or two and see how it feels, you're in a trap, it's like the Matrix, the beardy guy was right let's all murder people and live in the woods with a bear!
Fuck it, I'm willing to drop everything and just up sticks to the wilderness and butcher strangers, (Sounds like "Wrong turn").
Now who's with me?
He just explained that the blade is good as Fuck and never said it was Japanese you August he just said you could use Japanese wet stones to sharpen it, learn to fucking read.
Thank you kind sir, will definitely look into this.
I will get my hand on some eventually. Until then at least I found a good way of saving money on disposables. The math on disposables for most men is terrible. Some cost $2 per blade and a man might use it three times. That adds up to over 120 per year, $240. That is just ridiculous. Frugality is intelligence. Only morons laugh at saving $200 per year.
i dont quite understand what this 2 stage sharpening stone is.
if it is this on the picture, then you can throw the razor away after that
>hipsters peddling their shitty razors
>actually spending hours per week to get a shit shave
>"lol 40 dollar razors" meme, claim to save money while spending out the ass for ointments to treat fucked up skin
Been thinking about getting a safety razor because those plastic razors are expensive as fuck, any suggestions guys? Got thick russian hair and I have red bumps permanently on my neck from shaving which is pissing me off.
The current shaving trend is to spend more money than you have to. A couple of points:
1) You can start shaving with a safety razor for under $20. That's the tool and the blades.
2) There is less waste involved.
3) If you can't get a good shave with a safety razor, chances are you are shaving in the wrong directions at the wrong angle.
but OP. you're advertising a shaving apparatus to a board full of neckbeards?
tell me, OP. if these autists shaved their faces, what's the motivation for coming to this shit site?
>you can use a safety razor with any shaving cream
I would not recommend this. Use a brush and proper shaving cream, I use Taylor of Old Street brand.
>merkur makes some shitty safety razors
does it's job and lasts years for ~30$.
Bought some merkur thingy a few years ago, but most of the time I'm just too lazy to use that thing and just grow a bear or shave with an electric trimer. It's not a close shave, but it takes about 15 sec.
Wet shaving takes like 15 minutes and you have to do it all again 2 or 3 days later.
Got no time for that shit.
If you haven't realized that like half the threads on /b/ and /v/ are shills you must be pretty fucking dense or a shill yourself. I mean just think like this: Do you know any person IRL who would write like OP?
Just take this shit and a normal fucking razor and you get literally the same result. Where the fuck do you even need a brush? The level of fedora blows my mind.
Merkur 34C: £29.99 ($39)
Proraso: £6.95 ($9)
100 Feather Blades: £19.99 ($26)
Omega Shaving Brush: £6.95 ($9)
The blades will last a couple of years, you can buy them in packs of 10 0r 5 for DIRT cheap.
So do I. TOBS Sandalwood / Jerimyn Street sensitive skin. But I prefer their sandalwood soap because I find that it lasts a long time and doesn't get gunky / lose scent.
But again, it's cheaper than buying cans of the gillette gel stuff, which actually works quite well for me. But it may turn off some people to hear that they need to buy a $15 brush and $15 cream just to enjoy their new razor.
Merkur might make some good razors, but the cheaper ones have never worked well for me. There was a huge quality gap when I switched to a $15 Gillette red tip Super Speed.
buy this razor:
buy this shaving cream:
buy a brush,
find a blade sampler pack so you can try out different blade types.
shave once downwards, then shave once upwards everywhere except where you have bumps. Eventually the bumps will go away and you will be able to shave upwards all over.
Thanks. will take your advice and check it out
I suppose it matter the brand too, but every face is different. I would say 1 month with a razor isn't so bad, but it is the point at which I would certainly look for alternatives too. I just don't have those alternatives here... yet.
thanks I will try to find some... but it will probably not be easy. This is Guatemala. If I ask for grapeseed oil here the people will probably look at me funny and ask if it is for my car.
speaking of which, what you guys think of the gilette razors?
i mean, the mach (3 blades) and fusion (5 blades) series
I'm 29, I started using these when I was 19, way before they were trendy, way before you could start finding them in the local supermarket.
I use a 50's gillette adjustable.
I do use a bowl and brush sometimes, but you can use a regular bar of hand soap, get some good bubbles going with your hands, and lather up like that, the bowl and brush is not always necessary.
As for the blades, the cheapo ones at kroger work fine.
Some Disposables are sharpenable to a limited extent, and DE blades are easily sharpened and stropped to a very satisfactory edge several times each, as long as you don't take off more metal than is needed with a 150x40mm whetstone/hard-arkansas/other grinding wheel roller that is Only used for your razors. If you need to correct the surface slow grind the wheel true with a diamond lapping plate, diamond dust, and lapping oil.
Any wire edge built up on a disposable razor's edge cannot be removed with a leather strop as you cannot remove the blades. Sharpen them after each use, but only a very little and no wire edge will be formed. Manually sharpening DE razor blades is easy if you have a proper based angle slip of Teflon, UHMW-PE, glazed porcelain, or glass to align the razor on the wheel. In 30 seconds I sharpen both sides of a DE razor and it's good for another week. The stone sits below my lather bowl, brush, and razor on a trivet to keep it dry. I haven't bought a new set of blades in several years. My whiskers are thick and dark and could be used as a record needle if needed.
He said.nothing about the blades being "good as fuck".
And I never suggested he said it was Japanese.
He said to sharpen you need Japanese waterstones, or send it away...
Send.to where? (Probably Japan where all those wet stones are)
You can't find a Japanese wet stone in africa/america/australia/Russia
My point was sharpening a blade is a simple skill.
Anyone mentioning Japan in relation to sharpening blades is an anime weeaboo fantasy faggot.
It's roughstone, smoothstone, strop.
Razor sharpness no matter where you live.
everything is about image. People laugh if you say you save money. They buy the most expensive cellphone, shoes, jeans, watch, etc, just so they can say they have the most expensive. It is so funny to me. Some day they will lose a job or have medical needs, and be flay broke because of all their wastefulness. How is this so funny to them. Frugality really is a sign of intelligence. How is wastefulness something to brag about? I want a safety razor some day for two reasons. A. they are frugal. B. They are beautiful. To me finding something like that is a real treasure. It is like buying a BMW for the price of a Ford.
Vegetable peeler with fine parallel teeth to cut fine strips of potato, radish, swede, carrot, turnip, or murder your face. Can also be used on apples, cucumber, zucchini, eggplant, elderberry, Lima beans, fruit bats, the larch, Igua~
It's a low tech food processor.
It's not even necessary. You might get a slightly cleaner shave, but at the risk of more irritation. I do two passes, one going with the hair follicles first, then the second pass goes against them.
You're a fucking idiot.
>Oh look someone praising a good product
>SHILL! CORPORATE TOOL!
>herp derp the man ain't fooling me
Here's a tip dumbass, sometimes people genuinely like things, and even stranger, sometimes they actually want to share.
This is like faggots yelling TROLL at literally any post that prompts a response. Even if it has merit.
Sounds expensive and time consuming. I don't like high maintenance. If I had a safety razor I would probably buy packs of 500 blades. I also shave my head (no, Im not a skinhead) so I would want my razors to be simple, not require care in use, and not have dangers of cutting me. This is another reason I like my disposables. Even after a couple months on my face, I still can use them on my head (I don't have bump type problems like some men who shave their heads)
I've been using a safety razor since around January of this year and I've never had an ingrown hair or anything. I used to get them occasionally and I fucking hated buying cartridges. The dollar shave club ones are cheap but they blow ass.
I don't know why the fuck Gillette ever convinced the world that cartridge razors were better, or more convenient, because they're not.
Not that bullshit.
Pic related is a sharpening stone on its side.
You'll notice there's a clear line through the middle, with one side being rougher, and one side much smoother.
You'll also notice the rough side is worn down much more than the smooth side.
This isn't the exact stone you'd use for a razor, it's far too short, but as an example to answer your question it works
Start on the rough side, then the smooth side, then a strop, which is a strap of leather.
i use a machete to shave you razor fags are just pussy cuck betas
If the blades were so good, why need more than 1?
Why have a Mach 3, and a Mach 5, unless.youre admitting that the Mach 3 doesn't actually shave all the hairs off?
If the Mach 3 does.shave all the hairs, what use is 2 extra blades?
safety razors are fucking garbage, and its a meme of the month for people who shave. you will be done with them and realize how shit they are in a few years
is that what theyre called, you edgelord faggot?
Isn't pic related the best kind of razor?
I have the exact same as pic related.
cost me $310, is fucking good and I would buy it again, no second thoughts
The best shave is you don't shave. A well maintained beard and mustache will always look better than shaved, clean and good or fucked up.
Also, I don't mean an epic dwarf beard. Basically any of these. https://www.google.ca/search?q=short+clean+beard&rlz=1C1MSNA_enCA693CA693&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwip2drV39LNAhXl7oMKHW7wCjsQ_AUICCgB&biw=1536&bih=777
by sending it away i meant to somebody who has those stones and can sharpen it for you. you dont have to actually send it to japan.
sharpening a blade is not a simple skill. you have to do it in a specific angle and you have to sharpen the blade similar on both sides or you make it dull.
also you dont have to use japanese wet stones. i was just writing what i use. the important thing is: NEVER sharpen a razor on a sharpening machine thats what i wanted to say
500 blades would last me for 20 years. Literally. Because I get a close shave and I don't shave every single day.
Don't listen to someone that recommends buying 100 blades that you've never tried. You won't have any comparison point.
Here is the most frugal option, and by the way, this razor is pristine as far as I can tell.
Dry the blade off afterwards and you should be able to get around 4 shaves with each of those blades. More than enough to tell if it's going to tug, or if your razor is not right for you.
Refer to the attached chart for shaving directions. You should go with the arrow, and diagonal for a closer shave. That means you can go any direction. For an easy reference polint, just hold the razor sideways or at a 45-degree angle for the second pass.
That applies to the jawline, not the neck.
Sharpening a blade is a simple skill.
It requires accuracy, and understanding of the kind of blade you're working on, but when it comes to a razor edge, it's simple as fuck.
Once it's at strop point, you just strop it everytime before and after use and you.wont need a stone for a long time.
Look at the wear on the stone I posted...
I know about sharpening blades.
yes thats what i mean. i just called it japanese wet stone (not japanese waterstone; my mistake) because there are two kinds of stones.
one where you dont/minimal apply water
and the other where you have to soak it completely in water for 15 minutes and you have to keep them constantly wet while
sharpening the razor
the second ones are called japanese wet stones
>n-n-no! safety razors are cheaper than regular razors! youll be saving so much money!
>have to try out specific blade types to find the perfect one for you
and for straight razors
>all the above shit
>a $200 razor
>a $50+ razorstone or $100+ sharpening set
>a $40 razor strop
eat shit and die. kill yourself my man
I tried all this shit OP, yeah it's a bit cheaper but it's also a colossal pain in the arse. The shave is slower, it's easier to cut yourself when you're in a rush and while the shave is marginally closer, it's barely noticeable.
I returned to using a King of Shaves Azor and gel. Bit more expensive, but not by much - and it means i can shave without thinking.
If you want to buy a shit tonne of feather blades and a spare Merkur, I'll happily sell them for a reasonable price.
That guy's an idiot.
But you don't need a brush, you don't need a $200 razor. A Merkur is $20-30
Pack of like 100 blades, like $10-15
use regular shaving cream if you want, sometimes I use fucking barbasol with mine.
The.first, second, third?
If that's true, why not the fourth or. Fifth?
A sharp.blade will jot catch or pull a hair ever.
Not sure why you.felt the need to mention in gown hairs?
Bit if a 3 blade.razor catches and pulls, putting blades after that can't magic away the first 3 blades doings can it?
That's like saying you have a leg problem that makes you limp, and the solution is to give you a third leg.
>not high grade arkansas stones
how does it feel to not even be good at what you think youre good at
fucking nigger, it's a WHETSTONE. At least try to sound like you know what you're talking about
Forgot to add, I don't know why the fuck you would buy shit to sharpen disposable double edged razor blades. That's fucking stupid, they're cheap as dirt, use them for 5 days a piece and throw them away
I'm sorry but if you're using anything but a ka-bar to shave and a 50/50 gravel/nails combination as a "cream"...
youre a fuckin metrosexual closeted faggot
source: I'm a barrel chested freedom fighting warbird
It has nothing to do with Japan.
The entire relative world has had razor sharpness for a.long time, Japan is irrelevant to razor sharpness.
Don't waste your money on mythical bullshit.
>tfw no one ever taught me how to shave
>I just go over it with an electric trimmer until my stubble is under 1mm
I mean, I've used plain multi blade razors before and done so with enough success, but I tend to avoid it because they're expensive to replace and I don't use them properly enough to avoid irritation.
everyone here is telling you to get good shit and that you wont regret it. thats the good shit
theyre also telling you that its cheaper than conventional razors. its not. the $200 is referring to straight razors, which if you knew anything at all about straight razors, you would know that you couldnt even begin to find a usable straight razor for under $200. good attempt at trying to make me sound like an idiot by trying to get people to think i was talking about safety razors there. it would have worked if everyone in this thread couldnt read
whatever, i'm using 1$ plastic razors(there is 3 in the pack for 1 buck). i can shave month or two with one razor.
Any number of blades greater than 1 has a chance to pull a hair. So I guess you could say that the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th blade has a chance to cut the hair too close or pull it out entirely.
Cutting a hair or pulling it partially out of the follicle greatly increase the risk for ingrown hairs and ultimately infection.
I think you are equating "closer shave" to "better shave" here, which was not my intention.
24 heads for $28. 1 head should last 4 weeks unless you're just shit at shaving. That's 2 years of shaving for $28. These things easily compete with pro glide. Don't get more than 4 blades, and realistically you'd probably be okay with 3. The handle is $5.50. http://dorcousa.com/razors-men/ Pace 4, but all Dorco heads are compatible with all Dorco handles.
TIME is a factor those thing requires precision and might require a barber ... my gillate mac 2 i can even shave it with in dark with out getting cut also i use it to shave my balls
Did you even read that shit you posted?
I guess based on what you said, that explains why all the best sharpening stones are japensesearoo.
Or you could explain why the best stones around the world from kitchens to workshops are not japarooinesai.
>You can't use anime references in your answer.
kek, faggot detected
buy yourself a razor sample pack. certain razors feel different on my face. some are cheaper than others, some are chrome, stainless steel, thin, forgiving, unforgiving, etc. I bought a sample pack with 15 different brands and stuck with one. bought 100 razors for $11. that's roughly 2 fresh blades a week (overkill, really) for an entire year. $11 might get you two Mach 3 or Quatro blade cartidges. it's a scam.
Are you saying someone that has never tried riding a bike cannot learn to quite simply?
I'll answer for you...
>YES, that's exactly what I said
A skill being simple doesn't mean anyone can do it without any knowledge on it, but if you have answer blade to sharpen, all.all . you need is a sharpening stone, (and internet searches if you can't figure it out)
Cavemen learnt if you rub and stick against rock, the stick wears down and gets sharp.
It's not rocket science anon
the cartridge system is a scam. more blades per stroke equals more irritation. they "fix" the problem that they create with moisturizer strips and other gimmicky bullshit. a good double edge razor is probably all you need.
You have no point, because there is nobody arguing against you.
More surface area across multiple blades would in theory reduce pressure on the skin in front of and behind the blade. Additionally those blades will catch hairs and shave the remainder. You've seen the Gillette commercials enough to make fun of them but don't seem to understand their marketing campaign.
You're a fucking dumbass if you still haven't figured out that I don't use cartridge razors.
not the guy you're replying to, but what kind of razor you use? Maybe a straight one?
I wanna have a clean look now, still considering what kind of razor to use for DAT 100% close shave
the place i go to is great. the shaves are free cause i always bring a bottle for the employees there. they fixed me up for my friends wedding. was there for an hour or so shooting the shit, having a drink and getting a hot shave. its a great way to relax.
Fixed blades on a rigid square base.
Pressure is applied by your arm, not by individual blades.
Explain how one blade has more.pressure than the on following it?
The entire.frame.is pushed against your face.
Seems.youre the one that doesn't understand that disposable razor.marketing is targeted at retards.
They started with single blade saying it.gave a.close shave, then do u keep blades became a thing...
Now a second blade can shave off what that first blade we claimed.shaved everything didn't get....
Then 3, then 4...
You don't see a problem there?
Why do you think there aren't kitchen knives with a blade above the blade to cut the stuff that the first blade didn't cut?
Because.if the first blade didn't cut it, it's a shit blade.
You shouldn't be pushing against your face. You should have next to no pressure on your skin. The movement is over the skin and the "pressure" comes from hair against the blade.
not pictured are my brushes from omega or w/e its called. not sure if ill get another brush. also soaps and blades are missing but i mostly use gillette blue blades and feather. the razors i mainly use are the open comb razors
I only.said that in response to previous anon saying each blade having more or less pressure.
I had to start shaving at 12, I know how it is.
Let the blade do the work, but disposable razors don't work that way.
Someone posts an advertisement piece
You say you like it by saying it's NSFW/ you want it, and posting an extremely retarded image, yet you think I'm the one that needs to grow up?
You even gave a commentary on why your shit isn't retarded, but it still is regardless.
An hero or leave forever, either works.
