ITT: Anons name a band/artist. Other anons reply with their best album.
I'll start: System of a Down
Paranoid. But Masters of Reality is probably my personal Favorite.
2112 or Hemispheres. Moving Pictures is overrated. But almost all of their music is top notch quality.
Sad Wings of Destiny Easily
It most definitely is overrated. Hemispheres or 2112 are better. Even A Farewell to Kings is better. Moving Pictures had good tunes that broke them into radio play but in no way is Limelight or Tom Sawyer better than fucking 2112 or Hemispheres or Xanadu. Not on any level besides being commercially acceptable.
someone on /b/ with good taste
Saturday Night Wrist
Because they aren't nearly as good musically as their prime material?
They are good songs, but A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres and 2112 have some of the greatest prog rock music ever recorded on them.
Unleashed in the East
Their early studio stuff had shit tier production, live versions much better.
Ok, I'll go find a thread about music.
Not sure. I haven't listened to anything since FotL fully. I think their later work has more variety since the breakout stuff had some hooks that were repeated way too much in each song.
Further Down the Spiral v2 (or The Fragile if you don't count remix albums)
I wish they stop the whole "smooth jazz singing" shit
Lost Forever // Lost Together
Probably Antichrist Superstar
Number Of The Beast
The Downward Spiral
If I were a Gen Z, I'd be listening to Steve Aoki right now. I mean Gen Z takes the cake on shitty music, but Gen X is right behind. They just used mediocre guitar riffs and incomprehensible vocals instead of keyboards.
I been their fan since Around the fur
but fuck I just can't... their new album "Gore"
Been just listening to all their other releases instead, especially this one
Could not agree more. You can tell that it is really where they solidified their sound, after transitioning from the barret era. Gilmour really comes into his own on that album, and echos just paves the way for the rest of the sound of their next few albums
That would be Lost Forever // Lost Together
Their 6th album, if my math is right.
>mfw no Daybreaker

I just can't.... I tried man. It just sounds like what Stan hears on the radio when he had assburgers
I had a hard time liking it, one of the only songs I really enjoy from that album is Castles in the Air.
Maybe I need to do what I did for All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us and listen to each song while reading the lyrics.
Other than BYOB I actually don't remember what was on STA... I'm gonna have to go dig it out of storage at some point. I have it in the garage somewhere...
Or I could just, you know, steal it.
I guess so.. cause The Gore album sounds like shit
Now that I'm listening to it and reading the lyrics I'm liking it more.
Alpha Omega was their first song I heard, will always be favorite.
Have you listened to Untitled and Cracks in the Earth?
