Nah. Forge is the way to go, if you're serious with modding. And they still do the whole de-obfuscation every minor minecraft update. No support from Mojan there.

Quints! Also, command blocks do have their uses, but they were never going to suffice for modding the game. There are a few Forge communities that aren't toxic (like Forgecraft), but others are just shit. And don't even get me started on the Tekkit drama from a few years ago, that was the most toxic drama I've ever seen, and I was once a mod on Gaia online. >.<
One of the higher up people on Tekkit singlehandedly managed to drive half the female modders off minecraft, not to mention they stole mods and claimed them as their own (including Forestry which was well known even then). They did eventually get rid of the assholes, but by that time Tekkit was nearly dead, and they worked hard to make it somewhat popular again, including apologizing to the peoples whose mods they had stolen. It nearly imploded the modding community completely. But on the other hand, it did cause Forge to get created by people fed up with their shit, so...

Yeah, for some reasons a lot of communities go bad quite quickly. The whole Fluff-Fandom seems to do fine, though.

Nowhere NEAR what forge can do.

Good to know that they haven't shelved it completely I guess. As for Win10, it's actually a lot better than what people give it credit for. For one, it appears to be the most stable windows version yet, and it isn't as bloated as both Win7 and Win8 were. It also boots considerably faster in my experience, and it can run pretty much everything a win7 or win8 machine could.
But I may be biased as I run Win10 on my desktop (free upgrade, how could I say no, well I could, it just wouldn't be smart as Win 7 is going to be obsolete soonish).
