The booru is still the prime repository where all created fluffy art gets collected.
The end of the golden age is a tragedy, and the reason why I'm now posting in 4chan despite hating this entire place: Only one guy thought the fandom needed 4chan to survive, and sadly he was the one who posted literally the same set of smarty pics over and over until the newfags here grew up thinking that they were the norm instead of exception. If the original booruvians had been there to set things straight, the whole "fluffies are evil" wave would never have happened.
But alas, leaving the newfags to brew in their own smarty soup resulted in the shitty fandom we have today. As fluffies everyone loved started getting replaced by rage-inducing assholes, it's no wonder most of the original artists left. Things have been getting better now, but I'm still teetering on whether to keep drawing and posting here or just abandon ship myself.

It's more about how the newfags depict fluffies as evil and hateable. The whole premise of fluffies is that they're incredibly naive and friendly to a fault, because that's why they're so ill-prepared for the calamities they face.
Depicting fluffies as evil is the polar opposite of what people loved about fluffies, and when new content just made people angry most people decided to just leave instead.
