Higher resolution means more stress on your computer. If you have a 1080p screen it means it's a widescreen so the next lower thing would be 1680x1050 I think
After that it would be mine, 1336x768, then 1280x720. Those settings keep your ratio but sorta stretch out the screen. Making edges more blurry but the game runs smoother.
