Not a god damn space open at all, no stars or moon, nothing, just one big fucking cloud. I looked at the lake and the cloud expanded over it too with no openings. Can they modify the weather? WTF.

I work in ground position in the tower, I tell them where to park, which taxiways to take, i speak to the aircraft handlers to liaise parking, I speak to refuellers, toilet trucks (worst job ever), security and anyone else on the radio that calls up. There's a bit more but it's boring as shit. Point is, if I was in work I could speak to one of the approach controllers who would know the speed, or I could phone the squadron ops desk and speak to one of the pilots sitting in the crew room doing fuck all.
Most important thing to do before the flight, for me would be to get his climb out details so I can pass them on to Approach who then passes on to area radar.

Fog forms the same way on the ground all by itself. All Clouds form the same way.
Any time the temperature drops below the dewpoint, the air can not absorb more moisture and a cloud forms.
