All of them
according to an anon faggot. right.
because faggot OP just heard about the sequel in the news and wanted to be cool and trendy even though he has never actually seen it
it is a good movie, though. idk about god-tier
I stumbled across Blade Runner on my own when I was a kid. Downloaded and watched it because it had a cool title.
I've never connected with a movie before or since. It's my favorite movie of all time so far. And I know exactly why.
People may disagree, but it's my favorite. And I'm curious to know why other people thing it's God Tier.
>I've never connected with a movie before or since.
>And I know exactly why
Then go ahead and share
I find it to be an amazing movie for multiple reasons (the story, the cinematography, the characters, the incredible soundtrack, the atmosphere, etc.) but to say that it is the only movie you have ever "connected with" (whatever the fuck that means) seems ridiculous to me. It can be your favorite, sure, but the ONLY one you really like?
For real though, prove me wrong by explaining why. I'm curious.
This movie FUCKS.
You'll become a better person.
It was just such a beautiful amalgam of style and atmosphere. Made me really want to create. Its a great balance of humor and deep despair
This is a wildly entertaining, modern sci-fi action film. Fans of Blade Runner and Mad Max would probably enjoy it.
Just watched this last night. Was actually pretty good. Makes you think about your mortality and how you wish to die. Probably best we all yearn to die with someone we love. Made me appreciate my girlfriend more and think about marriage.
Fucking dope as movie right here. Lighting, Sound, Costume, and Directors all had extensive production meetings.
Most people haven't seen it.
I will show this movie to everyone I can
Blade Runner is great, that's it
Must have been amazing when it came out, but watching it today, it's interesting, at best. This kind of story has been visited many time, but acting is pretty good and the film noir vibe makes it more unique and grounded in a real plausible world.
so yeah, 8/10, pretty good, but there's no reason jerking off to it
OG Die Hard is fucking crazy good.
also, people like to shit on pic related, but I adore this movie
Bring home the motherload
Children of Men
The Dark Knight
The Thing (1982)
The Usual Suspects
The Silence of the Lambs
2001: A Space Odbessy
V for Vendetta
Bad Movies/Overrated Tier:
Fear and Loathing
Eternal Sunshine Spotless Mind
Good Movies/Overrated Tier:
No Country for Old Men
>Fear and Loathing
>Eternal Sunshine Spotless Mind
hope you win the special olympics
You know, I really didn't enjoy this movie as much as everyone else seems to. I often get told "You need to have an office job", but I've had several. It's a movie I often shrug at. lol
accurate as fuck
>Fear and Loathing
> Brothers something something
>Blade Runner is great, that's it
>Must have been amazing when it came out,
I saw it in the theater when it came out, There had been nothing like it at all.
All my friends wanted to talk about was how many times they saw ET.
I hate that I love this movie.
exactly! I didn't want to diss on the movie's fx/sfx or whatver cause I know it evolved a lot since then
i remember being blown away by Matrix and watching it now it's just... oooh geez, so putting a film in its context is really important
Apocalypse Now is my favorite movie of all time
The story is great and no movie has done a better job with a story like this. The environment is amazing. It is thought provoking to say the least, but without being pretentious. The monologue at the end is a memorable scene in cinema history.
Not a masterpiece, good movie about how shitty suburban life is. It's pretty edgy tbh I like it.
Definitely God tier
This list is half right, half bullshit
Fuck yeah, I watched this a couple months ago, it really inspired me to work harder towards my goals. I mean this fucking teenaged girl goes sailing around the world alone, and here I am sitting in a shitty apartment working two shitty jobs every day.
You gotta live life while you have the chance.
Still waiting for them to put this on Netflix so it gets more recognition...
>The story is great and no movie has done a better job with a story like this. The environment is amazing. It is thought provoking to say the least, but without being pretentious. The monologue at the end is a memorable scene in cinema history.
Agreed, and thinking about it, the amount of details and efforts into creating the city/world was just.. i cant even, it's mindblowing
Also agree with your >Definitely God tier tags
>>684208583 No other film more successfully guides the viewer through the depths of its universe and look like this film. It's a total-immersion 3d video game universe before the possibility of such a thing could ever exist.
In many ways, the plot's there to guide you through the rich, dense world it means to depict.
A very long doc, Los Angeles Plays Itself, is essential viewing. The part about Blade Runner is amazing.
>V for Vendetta
What are you, 12? These movies have been very widely praised.
As for the rest of your post, you have some good taste and some really shitty taste.
Kill Bill volume 1 and 2
Now,if any of you sons of bitchesgot anything else to say, now's the fucking time!
And Jake Gylenhaal is an uderrated actor
pretty long-winded. but its a really good movie. one of my alltime favs and im an atheist
>not even one lars von trier film
>kubricks worst movie
>mostly shit pop-culture hits
>jurassic park = not overrated
come back when you get some fucking exposure, pleb
Nightcrawler's on Netflix, nigger. You best have watched it.
>Jake Gylenhaal is an uderrated actor
Right?! He's one of my favorites, yet I feel like he doesn't get recognition. He's seriously an amazing actor. Miles better than fucking Meryl Streep.
I watched this shit when I was a kid and had no idea there was going to be an alien. Blew my mind.
this series is so much fun. low-brow for sure, but what else would you expect going into it. Love them. Except Jason Goes to Hell. Jason Goes to Hell can go to hell.
>>684218218 Not really. He invented many techniques, like the 100 cameras for Dancer in the Dark and few films managed to do live-theatre style as well as Dogville, which has the most terrifying Bettany performance ever. Now he's all 1000fps sports slo-mo photography, sure, which is hack but whatever, he hasn't been good in a decade.
At least he's not Haneke doing a pointless, almost shot-by-shot remake of his German original.
with the internet, 8/10 is meh
there are tons of 9s and 10s all over the place, whatever your tastes are
Don't give a fuck. This movie will ALWAYS be my jam.
man I totally LOVE Scott Pilgrim, but the movie was not god-tier, the only first half only maybe
Some remakes on the way:
>Interview with the Vampire
of course its potter look at the progression you think the fast movies look as good as any of these
Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms.
Also, I feel like there's not enough Lovecraftian horror movies.
no they werent mate the films are cash esp yates and cusrons. 3 5 6 7 are dope af
Without a doubt the greatest film in history
Ridley Scott is a master at creating environments. Just look at his movies. Alien, the duelists, gladiator, black hawk down. They wouldn't be the same without the environment and atmosphere he creates in them.
theyre so much better than most movies especially most recent movies that its not even funny
I don't know if it's because I'm drunk, but I lol'd hard.
If you niggers have the time and don't mind subtitles, this shit is on Netflix and it's pretty good.
I miss Hannibal.
heres some primo kino as well
sorry you dont like kino mate its straight kino
just look at this
I guess most of the shit you're watching is Marvel and DC then... good cinema still exists, just gotta look for it. Harry Potter had a HUGE popularity when the movies started, its was an easy cashgrab made with decent movies, no doubt, but nothing more than good entertainment
Tbh fam I don't know what's wrong with me but I thought that movie was overrated as shit. Its cool but I guess I just can't appreciate how ahead of its time the effects were now in 2016. Except the apes suits. They were not ahead of their time at all.
Kurosawa's second best film.
Pic related is his best.
This may be played out, but fuck it's a good movie.
want me to post it again in order mate?
no dude ive seen so much shit. i watch a lot of films and not capeshit. hp and lotr got the filmmaking right there was much care out into the series, much more themes than the books and the cinematography and direction was good for standalone films
I can't decide if Predator or T2 is my favorite Arnold film, they're both fucking great.
80s and 90s R rated action flicks were fucking great. I miss those days.
honestly mate yates' and cuarons are top tier they can be both a blockbuster and a really good film, just because you havent analyzed the intent. its still there
did anyone post this yet
I definitely prefer the cast of Predator. Not having a kid in the mix also helps. lol
i never mentioned tolkien i was talking hp. they better than the books, honestly on a rewatch i was surprises
of course tolkien is better than the lotr films
