The INI is far from enough for me, I had to remove shadows entirely through mods and install tons and tons of low-res textures. Then I got HiAlgo Boost that reduces texture resolution by half before rendering them and few other things... And my fps in exteriors still doesn't go higher than 40.
Maybe if I didn't waste my money in other things I could have bought myself a decent desktop by now.

That works. If you want to level DDs and CLs, 1-5 is a good one to grind. Just equip your ship/ships with anti-submarine gear and go for the first three nodes (A, B, and C) while using line abreast formation. You can also go for the boss node, as long as you only bring four girls.

1-5 gets more difficult as your HQ reaches level 40 and 80. Other than that it's a very mind numbing grind that gives decent experience. Also a chance for you to find submarines.
Line abreast is best for fighting submarines. Line ahead is the standard formation that is great for girls with high accuracy and moderate damage (usually the most used formation). Double Line gives better accuracy at the cost of some damage.

A lot of things are confirmed, whereas other things are heavily researched. Such as the chance to get a certain girl via LSC. Some recipes are really accurate, which might also discourage you seeing how it's around a 4 per cent chance to get Yamato, as an example.

Not really. 40 doesn't really add too much resistance, other than nodes after A will start combat with a pre-emptive torpedo strike. 80 will make the first node harder, as one submarine will become a bit tougher, using pre-emptive strike and having better accuracy and all that.
So don't give up hope, Tsuzu. You and your girls will prevail, no matter the map.

Using line abreast formation will almost always negate any and all damage from these. As well as give you enough time to end combat before the enemy submarines get to launch their torpedoes again. The real challenge will come when you enter maps that have both submarines and ships.

Your HQ levels up the most if you continuously defeat boss nodes. You also gain more experience the better your rank. Take world 2-3 as an example. Your HQ receives 80 non-boss experience if you achieve S-rank on a regular node, but 960 if you achieve S-rank at the boss node. There's a few things regarding expeditions, practice matches, and other event maps as well, but the above should be the biggest cause of your leveling up.

Don't worry. I did the same before I really started to learn more about the game. Missions are super important, so try and keep a look out for certain girls, alright?
I started to clear everything with brute force instead of the optimal fleet. I had BBs at way too high of a level for the maps that I was doing. Until my HQ hit 80 and things finally started to get a little challenging. Oh, and be sure to level Akagi and Kaga whenever you get them. They are needed later on.

Get enough of a surplus of resources, then try it. It's such a great feeling, offering your resources to the gods of RNG and seeing the girl's name appear. I audibly cheered as I got Yamato on my first try.

I highly recommend Akagi and Kaga over the two that you are using (but only if you want to min-max, otherwise go with the girls that you find the cutest). I never really relied on aviation cruisers. Although I seem to remember getting them here and there from 2-X and 3-X. You only really need Tone and Chikuma, though. And you might not want to get your hopes up regarding Fusou and Yamashiro, as they each require a blueprint to go from Kai to Kai Ni. Submarines can be gained from 1-5 and other maps that I've forgotten. You can also create one or two from LSC, although one of them is useless for sorties, but good for expeditions.

Kitakami and Ooi are needed for certain events, and they are fairly decent girls overall. Much better than Kiso if my memory serves.

Flagship always gets a boost to experience, which is why it is important to prioritise between having your favourite girl as the flagship, or having the one that needs the experience the most.

The Problem with Tone and Co. is they require Kai Ni before they Become Aviaiton Cruiser; and the others that become so earlier drop rarely, it seems.

I doubt leveling them to Kai would increase the stats that they give during modernisation. And even if they did, getting them to level 20 sounds like a giant waste of time. Just use them as fodder if you need to modernise other girls.

Keep one Fusou and one Yamashiro around. Unless you want to level two of each. Whenever you get Kongou and her sisters you should be fine. Especially after you're able to get Nagato and Mutsu (be sure to keep them together unless you want to face Mutsu's wrath).

I remember World 2 having a lot of good places to do the weekly quests. I also think that the early parts of World 3 has good spots. Overall, 3-X gives better experience, but you need to have decently leveled girls for that one.

You can get medals from events, extra operations, and a few quests. They can then be exchanged for blueprints (four medals for one blueprint), extra resources, or improvement materials.
