Everything I had hoped for and more.
First in the serious fun powers, cool city, great twist, great gameplay
Really over looked, the absolute pinnacle of turn based JRPG. God tier story, great graphics.
KotOR II is probably my favorite game, with New Vegas being a close second.
No grief or survival mode though...
Kreia was the greatest Star Wars character of all time imo
And fuck me Visas was so hot
It hit it's peak, WOTLK ruined everything
Both Zeno Clash games are and experience worth a 10/10
>read a reddit thread
>this one in fact
>decided to not think for self.
>instead decides to make a post of the exact thread and regurgitate.
Dark souls was amazing, I'm enjoying the new one as well
Mother 2 fucking Earthbound
That fucking wheezing noise. That is the single thing that killed that game for me. If I'm not breathing hard, then I'm just listening to someone else wheezing for no fucking reason
Fucking God teir.
Cute graphics that will always hold up
And the controls were so tight and responsive, if you died or got hurt, it was YOUR fault. And it never felt like the game fucked you. Perfect game feel.
mfw dude can't read, was obvious what he ws saying.
I'll break it down.
> Guy quoted the character being best written in series
>he didn't give evidence, he was just saying it
>he quoted verbatim the reddit thread about it
>you dumb for not bein able to read.
That really wasn't hard, and all i did was click on the thread to confirm.
Oh right I see what you mean
I loved Revan's story so much though, like after Bastila drops the truth on you and then you're on Korriban on your own with Sith making a whole lot more sense than the Jedi, and then going through Rakata Prime, that whole part of the game had such a beautiful buildup to the final confrontation
>Nihilus was better
Literally had less than a minute in-game.
kotor2 was sloppy. The devs put out a shitty game because they were rushed (then lucasarts denied them patch updates to fix it).
It really isn't has one of the best developed stories of any game released to this day. it's 4 discs on the Xbox 360, really long story, great challenging game play. Great graphics for it's time, they aged incredibly well. I highly recommend it, if you can find a copy.
I didn't bother to click because I'm the dude who posted it and I hadn't ever seen that board in my life.
Which actually makes him, and you, autistic as fuck for immediately thinking of reddit when I posted one simple sentence. That's advanced autism.
2 was fucking amazing, fighting vic viper from gradius... man, so many awsome moments in 2. 1 was ok for the time but damn looking back on it, was repetitive and shallow as fuck.
bioshock is overrated, infinite had one the most extravagantly bad writing of any game I can think of.
after about 60 hours you should start to get the hang of it. just move slowly and be patient. learn the enemy attack patterns before you attack. also i think that was a troll asnwer.
Might as well post that the general vaklu's head faggot (that someone revives) was a better written character then.
Literally had more dialog over Nihilus.
You couldn't even wear the mask.
seta g_sabermorerealistic 2
Oh you thought you were going to get away without seeing THIS?
and i agree 100% At the time i thought 1 was a good game, and it was. But ended when it was actually getting good. Moment you make it to the heart of the sation or somethign and start to leave with all the boss fights in the containter room etc.. the game just ends. Until that point it was repetitive sameness just moving to different areas doing the same thing. I hate when games do that, start getting really good and end.
2 was amazing all throughout. 1 felt like a tech demo in retropect
It's the only "scary" game that has actually scaried me and had me in fear while playing it. That alone makes it 10/10 for me. And the fact that they captured the environment from alien so fucking well. Was a work of art.
i remember it being badass. Was years ago though. Something about mitocondria, never forgot that and it spontaneously combusting. I remember the crafting system and learning about some ammo or weapon that did maximum hit point damage, and being brutal as fuck and thinking it was amazing.
>7/10 or 8/10. Sorry OP first one was far better.
Hell, you're being generous, anon.
The game wasn't finished because
>muh christmas games
The ending with the droids makes 0 sense without reading about the would-be HK plot.
Sion - not a chance. Completely one dimensional and cliche
Nihilus - intresting idea, poor execution. You cant be a good character when all you are nothing more than a few soundbites from visas and kreia
Hanhaar - same as sion
Atton - Atton is certainly interesting. More interesting than Revan, however, i dont believe so. He is probably the most interesting character.
Kreia - I think kreia is overrated. She is extremely well written for and voice acted for, but the character herself was very flat. She never developed into anything. Big surprise, she is a sith lord. This was obvious from the first conversation. Some of her backstory is interesting but there was absolutely no development through the game of any type.
It was a great game, in terms of gameplay. Survival horror? Please. It was a 3rd person action shooter game.
Story? Are you badass enough to save the presidents daughter, is AlI got from it.
Wtf was the little napoleon dude? His boss fight was shit. I killed him in one hit with the RPG
ha and the spaniards spoke with a Mexican accent. Obvious as fuck to me, it like speaking cockney words with an American accent.
Also the game had like one quick time event out of nowhere with the beret dude. Wtf why?
9/10 game play. 0 in everything else.
I still play this game at least once a week.
jesus christ this was amazing, outcast and academy. SP was great, but i played the fuck outta the multiplayer. people bowing, having duels, flipkicking off people, force pushing into abyss. I miss this so much...
She's not a Sith Lord or Jedi though, but she did say really early on (at least for me) she's a Sith so that wasn't meant to be a surprise at all.
There was never meant to be a surprise, the point was to see if she could convince you that she was right
My negro. Laverne was the first and purest vidya waifu I ever had.
She is not a true sith lord though, If you don't understand that then you don't understand any of the characters. Plus with restoration mods, she is so fucking amazing. She wanted the death of the force and why? Because she knows there will never be peace so long as the force is moving behind the scenes manipulating events. Without the force there would be no massively powerful jedi that bring harm to innocent in the galaxy. That's why I like her, she is so different from other star wars characters. I also like Jolee Bindo in the first one for similar reason, he is neither dark or light and sees both as too extreme.
prolly one of the best in this thread. Life is strange was quality, pure fucking quality. Jesus that shit was so good. Shed many a tear to that masterpiece. Had to platinum that game.
Christ it was good.....
I always found all those characters that wouldn't pick a side to be cringey in a way. Like in a universe where there is pretty clear black and white views that are both valid; you would at least agree with one.
Jedi academy multiplayer was great. I only played as a sand person so everyone had to hear that annoying scream when they hit me. Plus I was better than most. Getting kills with bombs was fucking glorious
I know this is a life less game but still...
project phantasma was one of the best ones ive ever played, it had missions, and an arena with 100 custom ac's that you had to battle. You unlocked new shit when you beat certain ones too. They all had unique set ups and names, and some were just so fucking hard.
I'd give my left nut to have this series made decently and playable on pc. You have no idea how addicted I was to that game when I was a kid..or maybe you do.
This is actually a really really good game
but that still shows no development. Then she thought the same thing and tried to convince you of the same thing through out the game.
Dont get me wrong. I enjoyed kotor2 and enjoyed kreia as a character/companion/antagonist however she is not on the same level as what they did with Revan.
Im the type where i immerse myself in the game, become the character, drown out all outside influence. I loved reading all the notes, the pictures, the story archs, finding out what made max tick, what she was about, put myself in her shoes, her life. See it through her eyes and not mine of someone just playing a game. Damn that game gave me the fucking feels. fucking hell.......
Deserves way, way more recognition. The only reason it didn't was it came late in the N64's life and Halo came out a year later. This game was the one that should have revolutionized the FPS genre.
Well how I see it is that the actual Jedi and Sith that you play are the extreme ones, but some of the minor characters that support aren't as extreme but still agree in the whole inner power vs total power stuff.
They're still interesting stories and they're well thought out it just seems forced to me.
Memories of lugging my old Xbox to a friends house to play Co-op on legendary
Oddworld, abes exodus.
Ratchet and Clank
Jak and daxter
Morrowind (which needs a rerelease asap)
Donkey kang 64
That game for ps2 with dungeon crawling for buildings to rebuild cities. Darkcloud maybe?
Final Fantasy eight.
Norse by Norse west
Oh right, I see where you're coming from. I don't think her views were really meant to ever change though. She's the kind of character who's already completed all her philosophical development
It was pretty bad if I remember it correctly. You were pretty much like a regular cop like character, chasing after some murder or something. Then you found out you are the heir to the jade empire and you have to get your kingdom back or whatnot. It was really bland the way they described it since they presented it without telling us the actual IP it was from until the end of the reading.
1. Bioshock 1 and Bioshock Infinite with DLCs
2. Portal 1 and 2
3. MGS Games and Hitman Blood Money
4. Far Cry 3 and Hotline Miami
Bonus: Mirror's Edge, Dark Souls and GTA SA (because unique and shit)
remember seeing this after watching saving private ryan. Saw them demo the omaha level at e3 one year. Godamn it blew me away, couldn't wait. Looking at it now, shits so primitive, not even impressive. I hate how the game evolves into a corridor shooter with just you vs the entire godamn Luftwaffe in small little areas. I liked what the team that broke off from this team did when they made infinity ward and the first call of duty. Made you really feel like you were in a war, and not a lone rambo. Always wanted cod to do omaha like they did the russian landing in the first one with 100's of troops. Nostalgia kicking in.
That's why MOH has it's own feel. I like it for the atmosphere and silliness, it's got a nice variety and cool soundtrack. I still remember in MOH for the PS1 where there was a bogus last level with dogs acting as soldiers.
As a huge ace combat fan this game really took my expectation.
Well of course, what other game allows you to drive forwards and backwards and forwards? I cannot find any other game with such beautiful pictures of buses, and the soundtrack is 11/10
you can even honk the horn
THIS game. You could control a battleship and rain hell on the fooking krauts.
No one said it had to be a computer game...
Nothing beats this. Most of the games already posted were inspired directly from this.
Well even the novels to some extent were like: look here you as a reader has to decide which side to immerse yourself in.
When I first started reading that shit went way too deep.
I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned. Absolute masterpiece.
