Name a band better than Led Zeppelin
Protip: you can't
Achilles last stand is the most underrated song ever
You probably also love this faggot, then.
What a philistine
The way Page wrote and layered the guitar parts is always amazing me over and over again. That song is one of those that defined the concept of a hard rock song. Also great to play for those who are into guitars and effects.
This guy gets it
They are both beyond god-like anyways so they are equal
Jimmy Page was background rhythm guitars; he wasn't good enough to be considered lead rhythm guitar and performed no solos on any of the songs he was on.
The real talent left and the shit members formed Led Zeppelin.
long time zep fan here. Have to say though, PF took you on a ride through dark, light, then bent both of them around your headscape. They brought the heavy but into more of a crescendo and climaxed it with rock. In this same vein, that is why Stairway to Heaven is #1 rock song, you have to bring people along then melt their faces.
Sarabande - Handel
square up tyrone
Acid Bath, Badbadnotgood, Black Sabbath, Brendan Byrnes, Can, Clearlight, Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Death, DoomVS, Dragged Into Sunlight, Emperor... there are a lot of bands better than Led Zeppelin
IV, their best work, is only a 7/10
>much better than hendrix
how? Hendrix still has a stronger influence on RnR and not just cause he died. His music transcended temporal materialism and consciousness. Jimmy's guitar rocks yet can get lost in its poetic solo messege.
Let's see bands or arrests that either influenced rock or future of rock that can be debated as the greatest(deep breath): Ribert Johnson, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Chuck Berry, little Richard, Chubby Checker, Fats Dominoe, Ray Charles, Auretha Franklin, the Commadores, Four Topps, Marvin Gay, The Soinners, Diana Riss, Ike and Tina Turner, the Kinks, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Steppenwolf, Jannis Jopplin, the Mommas and the poppas, Rolling Stones, CCR, America, Electric Light Orchrestra, Roy Orbenson, Jimmy Hendrix and the Experience, Crisby Stils Nash and young, Bowie, Bostob, Robert Plant, Biston, Kansas, Paul Revear and the Raiders, the Doors, Bob Dylan, Jeff Healy, Jeff Beck, Ten Nugent, Foreigner, Van Halen, Eddie Money, the Band, BTO, ELP, the Greatfull Dead.....list goes on and on kiddies.
Plant is shit; he tried to cash in on his fame from Zeppelin and every album he releases is fucking garbage.
Out of this massive list, I'd like to add to mine:
>>680402464 my list
They are hugely underrated due to their hippie-stigma, but holy fuck are they great and amazing song writers to boot.
Also another band I forgot:
>Emerson, Lake and Palmer
That's godtier stuff right there.
>Opeth is kinda great
The delta blues was ripped off by folks like Elvis, he was just a great salesman and white. Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, BB King kept the blues alive. This was made popular after the Big Band crowd of the 49s got old. Early rock; Bill Haley and the commets, Rock A Billy, Golden oldies. The late 50s to 60s were ruled by the Beatles, Motown, Country. Everyone wanted to sound like them. The 70s came an explosion of sound from the horns from Chicago to the bass driven sings of disco. Rock was still the heart of the time but it was splinttered. Mowtown gave way to Pop, folky hippy songs either became easy listening or got angry with rock.
< 30 > I bet /b/ is going to enjoy this new leak. She cheated on me and thus I will be dumping all her vids https://wgg.co/Qj6zE Few minutes and it will be removed :)
my bloody valentine
Mick Jagger said in an interview; they were to do thier first televised performance on a tv show and they had to follow James Brown. He had to try to harness his energy (he was playing right after the gidfather of soul with a lively stage performance) that is when the band said he started to do his signature stage moves. Believe that, James Brown inspired one of the greatest bands to copycat his moves.
Also I ran out of led zep pictures
Bring It On Home is my favorite song of theirs
Radiohead is good ( paranoid android is rheir best) but really it cant compare to zeppeli
why is it that all you cucks assume that 70s/80s dad rock is timeless god tier music? does it make you feel edgy and cultured so you can consider yourself above the majority of people your age to justify your socially inept tendancies?
Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite bands. But i think that Lynyrd Skynyrd is better. >>680397707
Rush has nice hits, but have you listened to their new album? its god awful.
I honestly think Jimi is overrated. I like his music. He definitely changed the game and he was good. But people fanboy over him like others do the Beatles(>>680401128)
fanboy fanning over the beatles.
>not listening to incredible music because he thinks its edgy
>0 of 0
fuck bitchass zeplin, and while im at it fuck that roody poo freddy mercury iron maiden van halen and all that radio rock bullshit
John Lemon and his band
These crazy coooks
As far as metal goes, I agree. Zep were the fathers of metal.
RIP in peace, John. My favorite drummer of all time. That man could beat the living fuck out of some drums.
Intervals... Progressive metal is the way to be. I enjoy all the old bands as much as the next guy, but when it comes to new gen. Prog metal all the way
*Keith Moon could beat the living fuck out of some drums
When Ronnie Wood was living with Hendrix, he talked about how Jimi would play guitar with him left AND right handed! Explains his high quality playing
AWFUL. Influenced tons of bad bands
America's Led Zeppelin but even worse
Sort of good
Tiny ass, nanofarts
The Ray Charles of guitar rock
Jimi hated Zep because he knew that they were ripping off blues songs and other people (this was of course early zeppelin, before they were really able to make good original material).
Spirit - Taurus
Jake Holmes - Dazed and Confused
Here's a beatles "rip-off" though
