Everyone wanted to sound like them. The 70s came an explosion of sound from the horns from Chicago to the bass driven sings of disco. Rock was still the heart of the time but it was splinttered. Mowtown gave way to Pop, folky hippy songs either became easy listening or got angry with rock.
