honestly, i love the thing, it's SO comfy. the AC it amazing. they did...some... thing or other which i don't at all understand, but which makes (auto) gear changes ridiculously smooth. it (a fkn 1.6) has power from 0-30, then fuck all, then from 50-80 again, goes like a fuckin' rocket. it's perfectly tuned for brit towns and motorways.
bluetooth, usb, AC, auto box, LOADS of space (like a van if you put the rear ceats down) cosy as a jag, uh.... i dunno, i could go on all day about how nice it is. yes it develops problems more frequently than my old (2005) cmax and my old (2009) golf, but that warranty, by which shit is fixed in fkn minutes, makes this car imo a leader in it's price range. love the fuck out of it.

plan on catch can and hell cat intake. maybe throttle body. no exhaust mods. sounds perfect as it is.
driving feels about the same. a little stiffer because of the option'd suspension package and 20s.
the 2016 control unit for the radio is better than the 2010, but my old 2010 boston acoustics system sounded better than the new apline system they use now.
the 2010 interior was better too. it was old school throback. had style that wouldn't get old because it was a 1970 thing. the 2015/16 is jsut a new car interior. it will look dated in a few years. but for now it looks really good and high tech.
people complain about the steering being numb because it's electric, and it is if you leave it in comfort mode. change it to sport and you get good feedback from the tires.
brakes are a lot stronger.

I'm from Germany, and here in Germany manual gearshifts are a standard. I drove quite a few automatics, since I (partly) work for ZF, who btw is also producing the automatic gearshifts for the Challengers since 2015.
And I can't get over it, I just love the fuckin' feel and attitude of shifting.
So, are there any chances, there are versions with manual gearshifts? Dodges are not that common here anyways, and therefore also not that easy to obtain. Any knowledge, if there are some resellers, who modify these cars with manual shifts?

my charger has the 8 speed auto you're talking about. i don't like it. i liked the mercedes 5 speed auto a lot more. 8 speeds is too many gears for performance driving.
