>>680220825 I like sanders policys, but when he says shit like >if your white you havent experienced poverty Or >im gonna close the wage gap It makes me want trump. I dont like any of his policys but i want a guy who has a fucking backbone. Im a liberal, but i fucking hate my own people. Bill mahre and a few others are the only non cuck liverals and it disgusts me
>>680221114 Bernie is a total fucking pussy who can't even face down some hecklers. He is not fit to be commander in chief of the most powerful military in the world and face down people like Putin on the world stage.
Neither are Clinton, Trump, or Cruz. All 4 of the main candidates are shit.
>>680220825 Hes too far on the income inequality shit for me. Its like thats the only thing he cares about. yes, its a problem but not even our biggest problem. And while i believe he has integreity and only noble intentions, his solutions are misguided ....not only are they not politically possible but even if they were miraculously enacted, they would probably hurt the people he's trying to help in many cases. Prime example is $15 min wage. That'll just vanish a shit ton of jobs that people actually need. Why not instead just increase tax credits for working families? And he is so antibusiness, its a bit dangerous. As much as everyone wants to paint business interests and big corporations as the 'Bad guys', these institutions make the economy go round - they literally are our meal ticket. We start punsihing them, we shoot ourselves in te foot ib te process. So fuck Bernie. I am holding my nose and voting for Hilary or whoever else goes up against Trump
Hitler labelled his regime socialist in exactly the same way the soviets labelled their system socialism. They have fuck all to do with socialism; the core tenant of socialism is tthat the workers should own the means of production. thats it.
Hitler much like stalin realised that socialism had a nice ring to it and he could get more people on his side if that's what he claimed to be doing.
Please do read about this stuff, there's a lot of books. Don't spread your stupidity around.
>>680220825 No he isn't, he's just as bad as the others. He does the exact same political maneuvering as the other candidates, yet somehow his followers call him the honest one because they refuse to recognize this. He creates a boogeyman out of Wall Street that he feeds to his financially illiterate followers, just like what Trump does with mexicans. Not to mention that there is no way he will get the nomination.
>>680222988 It isn't, we just have to stop being pussies who are afraid to stand up for what is right. The media actively tries to make us apathetic and not give a fuck and think everything is out of our control.
The exact opposite is what is actually true. A government should fear its people.
>>680222972 Nigga... 1.3 TRILLION dollars are evaded by AMERICAN corporations. That's money which SHOULD be in the american economy, but isn't. And USA has suffered tremendously for it.
Bernie Sanders has literally spent his whole life trying to address this issue, because it's THE issue underlying most - if not all - american national problems. Corporate greed is ruining the entire world, ans Sanders genuinely wants to do something about it.
>>680221785 >if your white you havent experienced poverty
That's actually just a poorly worded comment that's been seized on. He should have said most whites, and his point made sense. He's spent decades working with and on behalf of poor whites and talking about poverty in white areas and to white audiences. It makes no sense that to believe he actually thinks or means no whites experience poverty.
>im gonna close the wage gap
Now here I agree. He buys into some of the feminist slogans too much. I cringe too when i hear him mention the "79 cents on the dollar" nonsense.
>>680223445 Not him but agree its a problem. Bernies taxes are to high even for someone who makes 30,000 a year. Go check out the tax calculator for the candidates. I refuse to believe that people who have jobs would support him.
>>680223445 I dont jnow what that number is...is that the amount overseas, waiting to be repatrioted under a better tax structure? If so, Bernie aint goibg to fix that- that money is largely going to stay abroad until we change our dumb itsx policy on this issue. It it werent taxed so much when coming home (after the companies already paid their taxes in the country where they actually did their business), the money would already be back in the USA. Ps i am a liveral and I think this is incredibly stupid tax policy and know it wont be solved by punitive measures, it will only be solved by easing these double taxes
>>680223236 I completely agree with you it is much needed that people stand up against the lobbyism and the Wallstreet but realistically speaking it won't happen because half of the people are way too concerned about Femfachism and other stupid shit while the other half is completely apathetic. So sadly I think america is actually beyond saving because no one will do jackshit about anything. But don't try to touch gun laws! Suddenly everyone is an activist and cares about politics..
Actually it inevitably leads to communism, and is simply a method of giving even more money and power to the people at the top while leaving the majority of the population with the bare minimum they need to survive.
>>680223967 >>680224077 His tax policies are aimed at people who make more than 200k a year. "Everyone" gets taxed more, but by comparison if you don't make more than 200k a year, you aren't gonna feel like you're getting heavily taxed.
He wants to end loopholes where tax evasion can't occur like that. Off shore tax havens are great for rich assholes to make a shit load of money, but bad for a nation that needs that money in the economy (where it would be if not for tax evasion).
And raising minimum wage is absolutely necessary everywhere. He wants that too
>>680224675 Yeah but that trillion dollar figure is a bogus number. Thats just money that businesses have earned overseas but instead of bringing it back home and paying rediculous taxes on it, they just keep it in a bank account over seas and invest it. Its not illegal or unethical in any way. Presenting it as such is simply a way for people like Bernie to get average folks up riled up with about huge dollar signs and 'evil corporations'.
>>680224929 Actually I'm not american, I've been living there for a few years though so I know how bad it can actually be over there. But still I don't see much hope of people getting their ass up, they all seem so concerned about so stupid shit while not giving a shit about how bad the economic crisis has hit them. I still hope they do though some people over there aren't that worse and it has some really beautiful cities and national parks.
>>680225912 This. She's been setting herself up for failure ever time she's ever lied, or changed her policies when money comes at her - and that, historically, has happened over 2 dozen times. Hillary Rodham Clinton is a fucking two face sellout cunt
>>680225870 yeah that's true. I think I will never understand how people think that it is good that companies actively avoid paying taxes. I will never understand how people can work this hard against themselves.. When you look way back to Roosevelt when they still had like 90% taxes for riches (if I remember correctly it were around 90%) when the rich were still rich and the state had money to pay much needed education programs, reforms, etc. Germany today is pretty much what Roosevelt wanted America to be.
>>680225548 It is having a negative impact but that is mostly because the US (a coubtry that provides far less entitlements than most of the other advanced economies) has the HIGHEST tax rate in the world for repatriating money earned overseas. If i were running GE or Apple, the companies that have hundred of billions of dollars overseas, I would be doing the same shit and so would you if you are not an idiot. Its not the 'evil corporations', at least in this case, its simply bad tax policy. And more taxes on overseas corporate profits are not going to fix this one.
>>680225870 Fuck off faggot. I am liberal just not a financial/economic retard. Its not as simple as corporations are bad and more taxes are good. I agree we need a more progressive tax code, moderately higher minimum wage, get rid of super PACs etc etc, but Bernie is simply misguided with some of his shit, this overseas tax problem being a good example.
>>680224675 >His tax policies are aimed at people who make more than 200k a year >people avoid taxes better raise taxes that'll do a lot of good >He wants to end loopholes not going to happen >And raising minimum wage is absolutely necessary everywhere lol
He's willing to screw over white people so niggers get a free ride. His whole agenda surrounds reparations and nothing to help out white people. He thinks free education will stop niggers from killing white people. He thinks black people are wrongfully imprisoned but not whites.
>>680226813 A lot of people don't even know what ego is, so it can't be helped. Well it CAN be helped if people would educate themselves, but that takes genuine self control. America isn't about that life unfortunately. People are so fucking stupid it hurts to think about
>>680227697 Riiiiight because one person telling everyone else about a problem going on, a problem which involves countless people making it happen, and not solving it all by himself means he's incompetent. You're ignorant as fuck m8 and ignorance is the reason the problem is still here.
>>680227933 If you can't afford comunity college then you're a worthless degenerate. If you couldn't earn a scholarship to pay for college then you're a worthless degenerate. Free college already exists you free-loader, just have to earn it either by serving your country or being smart enough.
>>680228770 >I see the confusion that controlled soviet-style economy is inevitable, when it's actually the polar opposite of the socialist goal All socialist economies are controlled by the government you retard.
>>680223396 His "Wall Street is hurting you/responsible for the 2008 financial crisis" bullshit. Anyone who knows anything about the financial services industry knows this isn't true. He does with Wall Street what Trump does with mexicans.
>>680230074 yeah and that may be the worst problem of them all. You can't change people and the ignorant american cunts that teach their children to hate and be ignorant will never die off, no matter what would happen. But it can only get worse if they go on as always and don't do shit about anything..
>>680230698 I don't think we'll ever get rid of it completely. Some people won't change no matter what and sadly we'll have to accept it. All we can do is to give them the means of escaping their ignorance but the rest is beyond what we can control.
>>680220825 Spineless joke candidate that social media incessantly shills for without researching his economic policies that would drive away all big businesses and would seriously bring about another Great Depression.
Our friends in the Middle East would laugh at this submissive man that our more foolish young citizens try to call a "leader". He rides on this wave of Robin Hood horseshit of taking from the sinister rich and giving to the helpless poor. It's ideological nonsense that college kids buy into very easily, this isn't the first time this has happened. Yes, the wealth inequality is significantly larger than it should be, but that's mostly due to a few big bad corporations that dodge taxes and freeze money. Most rich people pay an assload in taxes but still get crucified (which is why they are leaving).
It's a good thing the social media following is either too young or too stupid to vote, and thank god Clinton has that shit rigged anyways. I can't wait to watch Trump demolish her.
>>680231234 People who are adamant about staying retarded can do that, but the rest of the world shouldn't have to suffer because of it. I wont preach or rant because we're on the same page here.
I wish more people weren't so fucking tunnel visioned on the social aspect of life. To much focus on what people think, how they will react, what they will say etc. is what leads to being shallow minded. No depth. No critical thinking outside of trivialities. It's disgusting.
>>680231926 >Being edgy stopped being cool as soon as puberty ended. Has that not happened for you? You are a terrible example of a human being from what is evident >asshurt redditor back to phonebanking for bernie, cuck. he's gonna need it after losing NY
>>680222517 He wasn't scared off. He recognized that they were with Black Lives Matter and they were clearly mistaken of who he actually was. So he stepped back to allow them their time, so they could get some of their ignorant rage out. It was the mature thing to do. You don't try to reason with people that are unstable. You keep your distance.
They were just mad to be mad, basically.. and the BLM movement openly chastised them for doing this.
>>680231655 I feel you. I hate that the rest of society has to suffer because of some literally retarded pieces of shit that are proud of being so shallow minded.. But I don't think there really is a solution to it other than killing them or maybe isolating them but neither of them seems to be a realistic solution.. It's a situation where we can only lose I guess. But I totally get your point I know exactly what you mean..
>>680232355 Taking out a loan to pay for education doesn't mean there is a happy ending. A lot of people end up not being able to get a job they go through education to land at. Then they're stuck with a bunch of debt. Do you see the fucking problem?
Nobody should NEED a debt inducing loan to pay for their own higher education
>>680232470 >white consistently score the same >asians consistently score the same >blacks consistently score the same >this includes SAT scores as well >poor whites score higher than rich blacks on average m-muh causation
>>680232470 So what is your best explanation for why when controlling for economic status and even what race the parents were, Asians consistently average higher scores (SAT, IQ, GPA, etc. ) than whites and both whites and Asians average far higher scores than blacks? Why would humans have evolved so much difference, but their brain remained exactly the same over about 80k years?
>>680232825 >Nobody should NEED a debt inducing loan to pay for their own higher education Says fucking who? You want something, you pay for it. Take a shitty degree or spend 8 years in college and rack up debt - that's your fault.
>>680233097 >don't do what you love >do what you don't want to do, but what other people tell you you should do
Art is more important than you might want to admit. Music alone is a great example.
But that's not my point. Even if you go for an attractive-to-employers degree, it doesn't guarantee SHIT.
You really need to consider more than what you feel entitled to, here, to understand the big picture. Paying tens of thousands of dollars for a piece of paper (the point of which is JUST to secure you a way to make that money back, and then make a living) with no guarantee that anything will come of it is fucking retarded. It's a risk nobody needs to take, but it's one that everyone is pressured to go for.
>>680232355 >loans >affordable HAHAHAHA Holy fuck! You can't make this shit up! Talks shit about "Free" and is saying we should just borrow money from rich people with exorbitant interest rates! 1%er is that you?? I thought you were a myth, fam!
>>680233097 >implying everyone that's ever gotten a degree is a liberal cuckfag with no sense of realism >implying the rules don't affect you as well >implying everyone that's gone into debt for a degree has gotten a job You are so sheltered, it's hilarious. I guess that's what happens when you have everything you need in your trailer park.
The argument is liberals aren't getting meaningful degrees. If they're getting a degree that takes 8 years, that's a doctorate. That makes them a PhD, anon. That is not a shitty degree by far.
The argument is also that the amount of debt you'd surmount by pursuing such a degree is enormous. It would take decades of your life, even as a doctor, to be able to pay it off.
But still, conservatives are saying this initiative to better themselves is deserving of obscene cost.. and they deserve to be in debt for wanting to excel. You're scum, my man, and I hope you understand why. No one is expecting anything for free but it's idiots like you that make the entirety of the world look bad. Your ignorance is blinding and the worst bit is probably that you are willfully so.
No matter how many comprehensive graphs people give to people like you, they continue to vomit this nonsense time and time again. You, my man, are a toxic wound on this planet and should seriously consider suicide for the betterment of humanity as a whole.
Either that or get an education, but you know how that's going to turn out... After all, you deserve it. Right?
>>680233720 >Art is more important than you might want to admit. Music alone is a great example.
Maybe, that doesn't change the fact that going to college for it is a stupid idea. There is virtually no job market for these majors, my tax dollars (which would be significantly higher under Sanders, so there's another reason I don't want him) shouldn't subsidize this.
> But that's not my point. Even if you go for an attractive-to-employers degree, it doesn't guarantee SHIT.
Technically, no, but in practice it effectively does.
> You really need to consider more than what you feel entitled to, here, to understand the big picture.
I'm not entitled, I majored in mathematics and got a great job where I make bocudles of money. The little shit who insists on borrowing 150k to go to art school where he knows he has no job prospects, but feels as though he deserves it is entitled.
> It's a risk nobody needs to take, but it's one that everyone is pressured to go for.
If you want safe, go to trade school. Going to college may be a risk, but it can at least be informed. Majoring in gender studies is virtually guaranteeing failure, whereas you can maximize your chance of success by majoring in something in engineering. The only thing is that STEM majors are hard, so that scares a lot of people away.
>>680233933 Let me guess, you majored in physics? Apparently you're an idiot because you don't know how anecdotal evidence works (which might explain why you have no job, lol). Maybe you should talk to the business major who got hired over you and ask him to explain it to you. Physics majors are generally smart, but you must have gone to DeVrey.
>>680233671 Who are those 45% that are skipping out on taxes? How much do they make in comparison to the big businesses that are also evading taxes? Have you considered that Sanders also plans on closing loop holes for businesses outsourcing work? This helps everyone (unless you make over 400,000 dollars annually) and you're too caught up on the imaginary argument that it's free.
Even if you DO make over 400,000 dollars annually, you still get affordable education and free healthcare. This means you won't have to spend a penny of that fortune you've worked so hard for because some asshole t-boned your BMW or some bully jock pushed you down the stairs.
Let me explain this for both of you idiots. No, I'm not implying that any given major guarantees you a job, I'm implying that if you major in something worthwhile you have a really good chance of getting a job. I'm not sheltered, I was just smart enough to major in something good.
>>680234913 The point is that the degree takes a normal person to earn in 4 years, but it took you (whoever the original poster was referring to) eight years.
>>680233966 >implying archaeologists don't make disgusting amounts of money while also traveling the world >implying you don't wish you were awesome like Indiana Jones >implying wasted time Tell me more about this thing they call "projecting", anon?
>>680235480 Either you don't know what entitlement is or you are heavily deluded. I paid for my degree with debt and paid it off after graduation. An entitled person would be the one asking that my taxes be raised to pay for every Tom, Dick, and Sally, that wants to go to art school even though they know they can never pay the debt back.
>>680235789 > You should stop acting like you know what's best for other people.
Mathematically I do. If you had the option to borrow 150k and in 4 years have a 95% probability of getting a job or a 40% probability of getting a job which one would you (or any logical person) choose? This ordinarily wouldn't concern me, but these entitled faggots asking the government to use my taxes to pay for this makes it my business. I worked hard, went to a top 20 school and now make mid six figures (of course with 80-90 hours/week), why should I have to pay >50% of my income to support this?
Not everyone that goes to college is getting a degree to get a job. Some people genuinely just want to learn. People shouldn't be handicapped and forced into debt because of this. The system is built around harming individuals that want to be better people, basically. How can you not see that >>680235558
Maybe you'd feel better if you didn't have the fear of crippling debt too. It might feel good knowing that the system has your back for once, instead of feeling like it's trying to get you. And then maybe you could go back to school to learn to do what you love, whatever that is. I certainly hope it's not shitposting, because that's all I've seen so far.
>>680236183 That's not what entitled means you retard. I took the same risk, but worked harder (lets be honest, at most schools a double major with mathematics and chemical engineering is going to be much harder than art) and now work harder (I work 80-90 hours a week). You call me entitled because I want to keep my income (though, the bigger reason is that you don't know what that word means).
>>680235866 I was upset about him saying this too and I was one of the people that called him out on it. It's racist.
He explained the next day during an interview that it was a generalization. While I still believe what he said was racist, I understand generalizations. I think people shouldn't get upset over them either. So what if people think you're a shit person because of your skin? Know what you can do? Be awesome and prove them wrong.
>>680222972 Hey you STUPID FUCK, this is America! We are not slaves to the fucking dumb corporations. THEY make their fortunes here and then squander the wealth and uproot to foreign tax havens after making their fortune. Sanders wants to change ALL of that. He wants to hold their feet to the fire when they do shit like this! Wake up you fucking pleb!
>>680237086 >implying everyone that goes to college does that >you don't want to live in a world with better art, music, or education so that you and future generations can enjoy them Wow, nice. Glad you've got your priorities set out for numero uno, fam. How do your kids feel about that? Let me guess, "that's their problem"?
