Don't worry, it doesn't mean you're a bad person, you probably aren't even that weird.
12. What the fuck am I doing here..
>>678085016
Oh, I'm pretty fucking strange, but I'm not a bad person, I've spent the last 23 years helping sick people as a critical care nurse.
I got an 11, btw I posted this thread a while back.
>>678086417
You are pretty nice.
You probably aren't a person easily swayed by what others say, but if someone tells you that you are less of a person because of that, they are usually just trying to provoke a desired response.
29, just in the line. Not sure how to feel
37
i got 8 fags.
normie-conformington here
>>678086765
Thank you, I've tried to be nice. My problem is I'm very shitty at creating fictions. Since I can't lie, people often dislike me. Most people would rather hear a pretty lie than an ugly truth. My honesty has cost me my ex-wife (She was the only window I ever had into the world of normalcy) and my two kids (I won't tell them the truth about their mom being a lying, cheating whore and she has no qualms about creating insane lies to poison their minds). I often think of killing myself and have been hospitalized multiple times for suicide attempts, each time it getting more and more closer to success (last time a jam is the only thing that saved me.. That and the cops). I think the next time I'm going to die. It sucks.
>>678087807
Do you have a steam or something?
I've been hospitalized for suicide attempts as well, we can talk about random things which might make you feel better.
>>678082850

What about those of us who were actually diagnosed with autism by an actual doctor?
>>678090656
It's not really what you want it to be, it's more or less just telling you what you might be at.
High means you have a high chance of having autism, though, it doesn't mean it affects you're worth and value as a person.
I got 40. I love how it doesn't just say possible autism. It just says autism. I'm fairly sure I'm not autistic though.
About what I expected...

In all seriousness, though, I've given this a lot of thought, and I don't really think more people like me running around will be a problem. Granted, every living thing wants more of themselves running around, but if some woman wants to fuck more of me into existence, then I must be genetically viable enough.
>>678094299

ITT people who want to be autistic, so they can use it as a reason to justify their idiocy. You're fucking idiots. The test is bogus. You're not autistic. You're just assholes. You likely don't even understand the autistic spectrum.
>>678095403

Autists can refine themselves. Seriously.
I highly recommend practicing meditation as well.
You have an overactive and powerful brain that part of you doesn't understand and has trouble controlling. Thus the thought problems and maybe even some of your social problems. Also don't hide behind a veil of "disease", if you can control something like a bad habit of rocking back and forth or something like that, do it. You CAN control it. I used to make excuses for it.. but really the hardest part in life is finding the pulleys and levers in your body to actually control these things, and how to understand why you do some of the things you do.
Look at social interactions as just another thing to analyze. The difference is that you're a human, so you also have an intuitive and impulsive side to it. I look at both angles. I'm happier and I feel more intuitive socially, because I know what to do more when it comes to social interaction. I feel like a lot of my problems socializing were caused by other things related to it. After all you get stuck in your mind a lot, so you develop social skills less.
>Autists say inappropriate things
>Autists focus on every little sound
>Autists notice intricate patterns
Refine this:
And autistic people are so great they can learn very well from other people's experiences. After all, they have pretty good memory.
Just refine yout skills.
>Autists are open-minded and are very good with their words
There's a lot of autistic people like this. They're autistic, so they are more deeply involved and thorough in understanding the language and just human communication in general.
>focus on every little sound and detail
>visual memory
Meditate or take a walk while taking all the sights and sounds in.
Hey
Guys
Give me a piece of advice
I was enjoying this dude and his crazy talk
Then I asked him something and he told me he's autistic.
I felt deeply sad after reading this cause I realized he might be one of you... Anyways
If he is indeed autistic, is it bad that I like him? Or
Should I stop chatting?
I kinda love him secretly
>>678100798
Tl:dr
>>678100862
it's not a surprise he has a crazy talk...
topkek
>>678101065
TL;DR would be:
Autism is in check once you actually take the time to experiment. If you don't know why you think certain things, or why you do certain things, then you need to figure that out. That's something a lot of autistic people need to do, whether they like it or not. That's the only way o get over a lot of the unnecessary hurdles and truly understand yourself and be happy, while also using your skills to your advantage like others have.

>>678085165

You scored a total of 25
as in I scored 25
>>678101431
it seems i have more autism than you, though I still scored below autism levels
>>678101399
And I say this as someone who couldn't make eye contact for years and who would mutter all the fucking time. If you have intense visual memory and great analytical skills then you should develop it and use that to understanding yourself. Get yourself involved with thinking about your own mind and how you do things instead of, let's say, the grooves of a shiny nickel. Maybe you take things too literally. That has a lot to do with bad social skills and not being able to understand metaphors or if someone's mentioning a brand 'Apple' or product 'apple' even when it's incredibly clear. It could also have to do with bad language skills. Why don't you ask yourself how you could do better next time at this? Why don't you ask yourself what you think went wrong? Why don't you ask yourself "Why did this person not like what I said". Find out how to know if someone doesn't like what you said.
People with incredible anxiety, who are really shy, and who are socially inexperienced have similar problems as autists. They're even mistaken a lot for autistic.
Perhaps autism is the next evolution of humans and all that's needed is an education system that can tailor to it (instead of one that tailors to your average person).

>>678102311
schizophrenics can't look people in the eye either.
I got 3 Hell yeah. Ain't no autism
41
>>678102184
yea... no
i've worked in a school designed for autistic children. If they are the next evolution then god help us all.
Jake sat in a corner all day playing with leaves, the same action over and over again (places them near mouth, lets them fall, repeat)
Sammy would scream random words all day like bloody murder (like fieldmouse or goodbye song)
Louise would get obsessed with 1 toy and spend all day obsessing over it. Nothing could take her away from that toy, and if you hid it then god help the rest of your day.
that was just 3 out of a class of 7.
None of these children were verbal, they had weak communicative abilities like pointing at best, and will never be independent.
Autism is not the next stage of evolution, it is a neurological disorder.

>>678084153
Same here.
>>678102311
>>678102380
I look people in the eyes now.
Autistic people here, why don't you look people in the eyes? I'm curious as to your answers. My problem was that everyone seemed to intimidate me , that I felt vulnerable pointing my eyes at theirs. I also was socially inexperienced so I didn't know how long to do it for or what have you. My eye contacts would be too long or short or I'd look away often. I started paying attention to how others did it and I understood it better. Eye contact is like a visual "I'm here". It can be used to show emotion. It is also a pretty good focal point when you're talking to someone. You wouldn't do it the whole time talking to them of course. If you're just standing face to face with someone, then obviously you can just casually look around or pay attention to the rest of the surroundings. Else you're just intensely focused (visually) on the guy's face while he's talking.
(these are the kinds of thought processes I went through)
I think the only reason my social skills sucked was because I didn't see social skills as a type of thing you could really study and focus and learn and I didn't know how to intuitively do that (or a lot of other things). Too much focusing on every little thing. If your average person did that, they'd be confused pretty easily. They don't think about every little detail in a social interaction, there's a lot of things they do in everyday interactions. They don't have to, they just do.
>>678102848
I sometimes forget about the more potato ones. Fucking hell, if anything we need to improve our education. Well, with everyone really. For one, it'd be awful swell if people actually knew to effectively communicate some things that go on in their head. You can't have a good conversation with a therapist or teacher with someone who thinks thoughts are "floaty words", that's for sure.
9 no potato here
>>678102848
Imagine if someone was with Jake while he played with leaves and asked what it feels like to make that motion with those leaves, how it makes him feel, and what would happen if he made another motion instead. Maybe he has an extreme focus on things, really loves it, doesn't think or actually pay much attention to the fact that he's doing, and also never properly learned how to delay satisfaction. Stuff like that.
I don't know why I feel like I'm wired "normal" now. I mean I'm weird, but I also don't feel weird. I just feel like myself, and I feel like I can intuitively engage in social situations while also achieving intellectually in some areas. I like to paint, program, study and I like to learn about different things.
I used to love to do the same shit over and over again. I didn't broaden things out when I was in middle school, for example. The experiences were the same. I would watch a music video everyday after school sometimes. The same one. I always felt the same when I responded to it.
I would have a problem "getting tired" of things. I later realized that "getting tired" of something isn't always the best way to tell yourself to stop doing something. It's actually knowing what you're doing, and paying attention to the world around you and remembering what else is out there.
Nope. About what I thought tbh
>>678104486
>I would have a problem "getting tired" of things. I later realized that "getting tired" of something isn't always the best way to tell yourself to stop doing something. It's actually knowing what you're doing, and paying attention to the world around you and remembering what else is out there.
i should look more into this. i dont get tired of things easily. i think i can get lost into everything because thats just how my mind works. I categorize a lot, so my brain is like a bunch of folders on the computer. even 'experiences' is a folder in my head. "new experiences" and "old experiences".. and i think like "I like this experience so why should i want a new one?"

My brother in law is definitely on the spectrum, and his parents completely ignore it. He is 25 and doesn't do anything except play games. All day, every day, for the entire time he is awake. No hygiene, no social skills, no interest in trying something else. My wife and I have no idea how to help because none of them will acknowledge anything is wrong.
