Cycling can be extremely fun HOWEVER at least in my experience, when you're forced to use it as your main source of travel pretty much against your will, it becomes unfun very quickly. Last summer when I didn't have a car, the joy of biking was taken from me because I was forced to do it every day out of necessity rather than pleasure.
