3. Turns out, when the police concluded their investigation, that the girl was right--she was in fact the party that was assigned that car from uber. The uber driver outright lied about her not being the client. He also lied about her "not paying" and anybody that believes that, has never used uber. She paid, just as everyone does, via uber. You literally ARE PROHIBITED under uber's contract from paying the driver directly. Further, it turns out that a number of other complaints about this driver came in later and that the girl's story was in fact confirmed--that this driver solicits tips up front and tries to jack up prices and negotiate his own prices for rides, and if someone doesn't agree, he refuses to provide the ride. The girl said that this was what he did to the police. The police investigated and received calls from numerous other witnesses--provided by uber itself--that in fact this driver had a pattern of doing that. The girl could not have known this as she had never used this driver before. Turns out, driver lied, was a douche, and tried to rip her off. The girl (re)acted badly.
4. The girl literally was (improperly and prematurely, without investigation) fired from the hospital she worked at for this. The driver was fired almost a month later--for cause--and for ripping off customers and violating numerous provisions of uber's contract.
