I got into this hard ass unit full of recently promoted E5 dickheads who just loved making life hell on people. My welcome to my unit was having to do electric chairs against a wall for 4 hours.
My corporal's welcome to my squad was owing him 1,000 pushups over the course of a few days. Why did they do it? No particular reason. Our unit was just regarded that kind of unit full of assholes and "tough" NCOs.
We weren't allowed to ever be caught drinking.
We couldn't have any kind of sexual relations or sex at all that they could ever find out about or they'd make our lives hell.
We worked extra hours over the official base hours even though they weren't allowed to do that.
Had I been in any other unit on Ft Hood, I probably would've enjoyed it. Everyone from Boot that didn't get into my unit loved the Army. They had mixed experiences.
Also, fuck the Army and their bullshit "benefits" that some of my friends who got injured or worse never received.
