When I went in during the initial invasion, ROE was to engage anything or anyone that looked suspect. Shoot first, ask questions never.
My first kill was a child... He was bearing an AK and aimed with intent to kill. My morals kicked in, I questioned myself for a second, and returned to reality, as I pulled the trigger, he shot my battle buddy and friend since basic...
That, I think was the absolute hardest kill, and I still dream of it, think of it every day...

Whats the point of US Warrant officers? I know that they are subject matter experts, but our army's commissioned specialists are just regular officers.. our WOs are senior enlisted, just like all other nations except US..
I think the US should come in line with Comonwealth (and other) armies and convert your CWOs to regular officers:

We are actually considered officers as a warrant. We have a commission. But our main difference we aren't leaders. The commissioned officer is a leader, a commander. My sole purpose in life as a warrant is to ensure the work of the shop or section I am placed over goes smoothly and effectively.
As for the NCO side, we don't lead soldiers in that aspect either. I am in charge of work, in charge of the shop, not the soldiers. That isn't my lane.
It's very hard to explain why the US does warrants as it does, but it just melts together...
