So what exactly gives us energy?

caffine/adderal just gives me a "speed" but i realized i feel very tired no matter what i do.

literally arms heavy, etc almost on the verge of a bit anxiety by having to move too much.

food? sleep?

what would you say is the MAJORITY atleast of what gives us the energetic feeling? do i need to eat more?
>>
>>767919147
Healthier foods with lots of fiber, exercise, 6-8 hours of sleep a night.
>>
fruit and exercise
>>
>>767919416
>>767919454

okay, exercise i can feel but its a very short energy unless you are talking about the long result which i have not experienced so much.

fruit/fibers/healtier

always wonderd what exactly is nutrient and how much does it actually affect me energy?

like if i were to eat very casual food, like not really unhealthy but very standard. how off would this put me in terms of vitamins and such?

How much does it actually do?
>>
>>767919605
Literally take a health class. Or basic biology.

Protien, carbohydrates, and fat are the 3 main (macro) nutrients. The cells in your body convert those into usable engery. I think it's called ATP but fuck I can't remember high school.

Also when you sleep is when most of your body's cell regeneration takes place.

So food and sleep = energy to keep your ass alive.

Vitamins and other micronutrients just make you feel better and healthier in general. And maybe help you live longer when getting the right amounts.

Always wanted to know who the brunette in this pic is. Also, are you a fatty op? Because if so that's why.
>>
>>767919147
Rest and a full diet with all the vitamins and minerals etc, otherwise you'll always be 70% at best, 110 with a processing debuff on drugs
>>
>>767919605
>casual food
Explain this. Do you mean microwave meals? Bags of potato chips? Instant mashed potatoes? Instant Mac n cheese?
If yes, then yeah you can live off of that, but you will probably feel like shit over the long term unless you supplement with vitamins.
>>
>>767919605
You need to continue taking base level gcse/crazy american equivalent biology friend, I learned about vitamins and food groups when I was 8
>>
>>767919147
Exercise you lazy ass fuck. People who exercise don't start with energy or wake up ready to go, they fucking force it you pussy.
>>
>>767919884

actually 80-90kg 2 meters tall, so i dont look fat at all honestly. i lose weight faster than i gain them

>>767919951

yep,yep,no,no

i mean like, pasta n meatballs with some milk?

i eat alot of shit, but i also sometimes eat vitamins too but i cant seem to recall how i felt when i was eating really healthy, i feel very tired often. mostly micro movements, like coding in front of a pc is mostly annoying moving between mouse/keyboard and such. But if i go do the dishes, laundry or shop for food its no problems at all, it kinda confuses me honestly.

>>767920080
yeah, was a while ago. thinking about retaking it online or something.
>>
>>767920133
yeah i figured id get my ass out running or something.

force it? how do you mean, not sure exactly what u mean
>>
sleep more, make sure you aren't lacking in carbs, fat or protein. maybe look into supping b12, i think it has a fair bit to do with energy and all that, you could be low on it
>>
>>767920779
did a blood test, only thing was a little bit to much calcium. Also a bit low on iron, but i took pills for that and was a while ago, but the energy levels still remain low

Inject yourself with air OP. Its what we need to live and obviously having more of it inside you would make you feel amazing. Get a syringe and do it.

nerve gas is a meme, more along the lines of"UNSPECIFIC CAUSE" whether explaining cause of death or reaction to something, some faggot comes along and decides that boiling it down to "nerve gas" is the closest thing hell get to trolling successfully. its a psyop

Research a supplement called "NT Factor". There's very promising results when put clinical testing to improve fatigue in patients suffering with fibromyalgia and other fatigue related disorders.

at SSRI a while back, made me extremly speedy and i had to quit. and the energy was very mixed, like both energy+tired.

I wouldn't say im mentally depressed, but my overall energy levels are actually making me a bit depressed tbh it gets in the way too often, like when i start a project and i physically feel dead and get a bit of anxiety.

sometimes i get anxiety attacks with the thought of how long ive actually felt like this and how much ive thrown aside bc of it :/

remember one day i woke up and i hade this absolutley crazy stable enery level that i had not experienced in a while, if that is how normal energy feels like i dont want to spend a second in this state
>>
>>767921492
will try 11/10 hope my heart dont explode tho

>>767921507
i figured hehe, but might aswell ask thx

>>767921592
never head of this, ive actually tried solyent with no luck :/ but im gonna give this a read thanks!
>>
>>767921768
You don't actually have to be sad or "mentally depressed" to have depression. Because depression is a chemical disorder it effects all sorts of people different ways. Alot of times depression just causes a lack of ability to sleep, bad eating habits, extreme fatigue ect. You don't actually have to be sad.
>>
>>767921768
And if the SSRI gave you more energy then it probably is depression and you just need to weed through and find the right meds. It took my 5 tries to find the right pills for myself. You just have to stay with it.
>>
I highly suggest exhausting all other non-pharmacological interventions before you jump right on taking an antidepressant. The adverse effects of those could make you feel worse than before you take them.
>>
Anything that improves your metabolism will improve your energy. Healthy fats, complex carbs and reasonable protein. Pasta, fish, lean meat. Green leafy vegetables. Daily multivitamin. Stop fapping it depletes your zinc. Sleep. You got it.
>>
>>767922971
been thinking this, bc they literally did not diagnose me like a real doctor did with blood sample and such. rather its a papper with criteria? makes sense why they call it meds casino

>>767923260
yeah, will try that again. this time im trying something for anexiety that is not ssri, i think im not supposed to get that energetic from ssri?

>>767923390
non-pharmacological interventions ???
yes, they cut off alot of seratonin to build it up right?

>>767923497

how complex is the metabolism? like if i were to bombard myself with good shit? im looking for a stable long energy not flying through the roof, and yes never even thought about that zinc
>>
Also your diet could be your issue as well. Although its usually trial and error until you find what works for you, a diet of you consuming less than 100g of carbohydrates a day and the rest of your food from lean meats and vegetables could work for you. Its possible that you're constantly pumping out insulin from what you're eating and that could cause chronic fatigue in its itself. Reducing carbs should lower the amount of insulin secreted in the day and should, in theory, give you more energy.

I think sleep is most important for me. But it's not like you can't eat right at the same time.

There are some techniques for finding out how much sleep you really need by increasing the time you spend it bed by, say, 15 minutes for a week or some other period, and seeing if you fill that time with sleep. This works out better nowadays than when I learned it because you can have a fitness tracker keep track of how much time you were actually asleep and don't have to guess how much time you spent awake before falling asleep and log it. I was doing the latter and the sleep doctor told me that I was keeping such meticulous records that I was giving myself too much anxiety and losing sleep over it. With the FitBit I just look at it in the morning.

This is a book I read, looks like it's been updated.
>>
>>767923819
what exactly is this diet called? and how does it work ? like how does it me? will i feel the effects after just on meal/week/ ??
>>
>>767923982
It's not really a specific diet, just lowering the amount of sugar and starchy carbohydrates you eat. Usually changes in diet will effect certain people differently. For example, I might not feel anything immediately and notice more energy over the course of a month. Where as you could potentially feel the effects of a diet change in a matter of weeks or days.

To boil it all down, just lower the amount of sugar and carbohydrates (bread) you eat. Instead opt to eat something with protein and fat.

The premise behind it, is just to keep your blood sugar more stable for longer periods of time since large fluctuations can cause feelings of fatigue.
>>
>>767919147
So carbs are a main source of energy for your body that it converts to glucose which is the main energy cells use day to day.
Fat and lipids are your long term energy and necessary in smaller numbers.
Protein is also long term energy that your cells use more for repair than anything else.
This is why they have calories. Calories are how much energy is needed to raise the temperature of water 1C and measures how much energy each piece of food has. For more energy eat complex carbs as they provide more long term fuel. About a fist of protein and fat each meal. 6 small meals a day. And exercise. If you still don't have energy it might be an underlying issue. I'm diabetic. When my sugar runs high I get lethargic, pee a lot, and nauseous. On top of thirst. Low, I get tired and act drunk and really tired as I come back up.
>>
Check out the nootropic called phenibut. It's worked wonders for me bro
>>
>>767924495
Don't forget that fat and protein are fully able to be used as your bodies primary source of energy as well, in the absence of carbohydrates
>>
>>767924826
Yeah I knew protein could but forgot about fat conversion. I just remember if protein is converted it creates acids. Part of the problem diabetics have with DKA
>>
>>767919147
You're asking about an extremely complicated thing on a website full of literal retards and maybe some functioning autistics.
When it comes to nutrition it really is a personal experience. Your ethnic origin will have a huge effect on what your ideal diet should be. People from southern spain/Italy and the Mediterranean will do good on goat dairy, grains, and fish but they might really suck at digesting nothing but whale meat all day long.

But basically it's a well rounded diet, and sleep +exercise that will improve your health
>>
>>767924902
Very correct

honestly whenever I fuck a woman i get energized as fuck, went three days working coming over to this girls pad banging her napping maybe 30 minutes before her mom or sister came home and going back

I’m an extreme case, but I was very fatigued all day everyday practically and of the course of a few years and many specialists and medications, I realized it was almost entirely diet base.

I was allergic/sensitive to a number of foods (dairy, soy, added sugars, wheat, some fruits, most nuts, practically everything processed and a few others) after having changed my diet to a very strict limited diet I’ve improved to become better in every way and surpassed what I thought was capable. I didn’t realize until i fixed myself how damaged I was from all that (fatigue, depression, brain fog, bloating, indigestion, GERD, anxiety, etc) all went away due to the diet change.

I previously could only “focus” for maybe 2hours max a day and if I was lucky I could workout 2 times a month or I just simply didn’t have the energy to do more than 2-3 sets. And cardio just drained me within a couple minutes.

After the change I literally went through 3 days of withdraw from the foods (probably sugar or wheat imo) and after about 1 week I saw massive changes and it’s been about 15-16 months now and I can focus all day. My energy is actually too high, I have trouble sleeping now actually if I don’t workout. I have to drain myself intentionally in order to sleep at appropriate times. It’s day and night.

Diet diet diet diet diet.

While the other guys diet isn't pointing at any specific diet, it is simar to the idea of the keto diet.
The keto diet is based around lowering your carb intake as much as physically possible, and replacing those calories with strictly protein and fat.

Carbohydrates do spike up insulin which can make you feel lethargic depending on other factors. The main factor, I think, is exercise. Do some level of exercise every day you possibly can. Even if it is just walking for an hour. It's better than nothing. Especially if you sit at a computer all day.
>>
>>767919416
This guy is correct

I did the "Whole Foods" diet for about two months and felt fantastic.

Like he was implying, it's all about balance. Sleep, food, exercise.
>>
When you get a burst of energy from caffeine once you use it consistently it isn't actually adding energy to you.

What is actually happening is that you are experiencing withdrawal from caffeine, so you feel better ("energetic") once your body gets what it is addicted to.
>>
>>767925923
>Caffeine
Also I would highly recommend that you try to stop drinking anything with caffeine. It doesn't benefit you really. It's just an addiction like nicotine and both of those can lead to heart problems.

if you got more ideas just throw em at me.

Also>>767923864

before thread dies, anyone that had sinus problems? how did it feel after surgery?
>>
Sleep well, eat well, and exercise regularly
Your hormones are probably all fucked up because you do not do any of the above. Do it over the long term and you will see a change (your first workouts will be shitty).
Take Vitamin D3, Zinc, Magenesium (glycinate), go outside and socialize

Good luck anon
