Why is the value of a dollar getting weaker?
it's just inflation. Don't ignore it, make sure that's in your plans.
>>767469571
Cause it's backed by air, promises to pay it back & smoke & mirrors.
It's also currency, not money.
Because dollars are being printed out of control by the jews. It's cool though. Just stay on 4chan where it's safe.

Type in fiat currency on YouTube. It will explain it all.

WW2 and WW1 resulted in a clusterfuck of debt and most of those in debt had their countries half destroyed. usa due to a bunch of complicated shit ended up holding a fair chunk of that debt. When combined with the relatively untouched status of the country this resulted in the usa's absurd wealth.
The other countries fixing their shit and eventually getting paid to make American stuff for them (to fuck the unions and exploit the difference in currency value) when combined with several major economic fuckups(regulate that shit to keep profit mad people from causing more fuckups damnit) results in the rest of the world starting to catch up.
World government wants unified currency, they have their sights set on digital and there is already pressure overseas to adopt rfid implants so that your crypto and currency exchanges happen in realtime

>Why is the value of a dollar getting weaker?
Jews. Fiat currency. It's a fucking piece of paper (cloth, actually). Paper/cloth has no value like GOLD does. When the Jewskis realized they could loan money at interest (usury) that also realized that they could inflate the supply artificially. When the "Federal" Reserve rolled into town, their prayers were answered. Read "The Creature from Jeckyll Island" for a thorough history of the "Fed" and the IRS, it's twin tentacle.
Look at an inflation chart from 1913 to date. It's a fucking classic hockey stick. Jews print money backed by sweet fuck all. What do you think is waiting down the line?
>>767471222
Gold only has as much value as people think it does. EXACTLY like paper/cloth
>>767471323
You are a fucking IDIOT. Roman coins still exist and still have value because they are made of a precious metal. Paper and cloth do not last and have no intrinsic value.

A thorough explanation of why gold is used as a store of value.
Obamanomics.
Inflation and buyingpower are two entirely different things.
In obama's 8 years the dollars buying power halved. Even though over 8 years inflation should have reduced buying power by 17%. over that same time frame.
>>767471499
Gold and anything else on earth for that matter is only worth what people believe it’s worth. It’s a fundamental principle of economics.

When we first allowed ourselves to accept money from the federal reserve, we were in debt. Even if it was one dollar, we'd owe it back PLUS interests. This is why people like Kennedy tried to get the US to print its own money and later on he was assassinated.
As for why the value of the dollar is getting weaker, it's more due to the fact we're moving to the gold standard than it is inflation. Inflation would actually be one of the main reasons we're moving to the gold standard.

I mean I wouldn't say it's him alone, but that tax bill he wants to take credit for isn't meeting the growth % needed to be paid for, which means they also have to raise interest more, which is also leading towards a further devaluation.

Nixon abrogated the Bretton Woods Agreement in order to fund our debacle in Viet Nam.
"The Bretton Woods Agreement is the landmark system for monetary and exchange rate management established in 1944. It was developed at the United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference held in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, from July 1 to July 22, 1944."
Between that and US support for Israel in 1973, the first 'gas crisis' came about and pretty much undermined the US way of life. Odd that no one connects Israel and the gas crisis and the resulting "economic malaise" of the 1970s.

Before everyone gets too far out of hand on conspiracy theories, you have to look back at what the dollar used to be.
It used to represent one silver dollar, and the bill was a piece of paper that you could exchange at anytime for said silver, it was just easier to carry the paper as a receipt. Banks were required to carry enough silver (or gold) for a certain number of people to cash in at any given time. But, this also meant that a country's wealth could only grow as its gold reserve grew. It wouldn't matter if your other resources expanded, if gold and silver were the only sources of currency. Plus, other nations may not value metal as highly, and that makes it more difficult to trade.
By removing the gold standard, most nations can print enough money internally to pay off debts, and still trade with other nations. But that does mean that the currency is much more volatile. However, money is not the only currency anymore. For instance, the US wants to install a pipeline, or sell a plane, or build a hospital in another nation. They are not just selling the product, but selling the labor that the nation can make money from when they can hire their own people to build, staff, and maintain the product.
Economies have changed over the centuries.

The only thing getting weaker is your mind.
Mostly because the IRS is not the governtment but acually lones all money to the govermment. So the government has to pay interest over all the money in circulation.

That's actually a huge glaring problem with the gold standard. Your country's economy is permanently linked to how much gold it has. Growth has to come from actually acquiring more physical gold, which is stupid. If nobody is selling gold and the price goes up your economy goes to shit. If you want to buy things you have to send gold overseas with no promise of being able to get it back. Economies based on finite, irreplaceable items are inherently limited. The reason why the world no longer uses the gold standard is that there is just too much wealth for it to be all represented by a single commodity.
Consider this; the only thing that money represents is productive human time. Time is really the only thing we are trading when we spend money. It took someone time, maybe a whole lot of people's time, to make the things we buy. We get paid for our time at work, or we speculate on products others took time to make. If you look at money like this, gold is pretty irrelevant. Fiat currency works because it is currently an acceptable measure of productive time. We could really replace it with any kind of system that tracks productive time, although it would be a bitch and a half to do right now and there's no real reason to.
>>767479102
A time standard?
That sounds interesting.
why its easy
we are around the corner of the next recession, and what obama did during his career its going to be a bad one. Im pretty sure everyone will blame Trump for it but its just the cycle doing its thing.
save your money and get ready to invest at the lowest of the low and become a millionaire when it bounces right back.
>>767471499
Precious metals only have value because people value them now. If there was an apocalyptic event they would hold almost no value because they cannot be eaten. Precious metal is just another item in the barter system. Now you can trade precious metal for something but that will not always be the case.
>>767469571
Trump is an incompetent, ineffective dumb fuck and people know it.
>>767479750
It's what money has always been. Time, as in the time it takes to do something, is the only thing that's really valuable. Don't listen to the "gold is intrinsically valuable because it can be made into electronics" meme. That shit is stupid.
>>767469571
print(money);
>>767479102
>Growth has to come from actually acquiring more physical gold, which is stupid.
What if they just revalue the gold to "increase" the value. I.e. if 1 oz of gold is worth 10 notes & you need to create more notes then just revalue it at the new number. No need to find more gold.
>If nobody is selling gold and the price goes up your economy goes to shit.
If gold is the standard, nobody sells gold but deals in gold. People wouod also stand to get richer just by holding onto it if/when the price gets readjusted to accoint for the new humans in the population.
>If you want to buy things you have to send gold overseas with no promise of being able to get it back.
Eh, maybe. Could always do something like trying to make sure that the value of goods received via importing matches the value of goods being sent to ensure that there is a constant gold supply, borderline bartering.
>Economies based on finite, irreplaceable items are inherently limited.
Life is limited, I figure our monitary sysems sould be too.
I know fuck all about this so . . .
