Our colleges are no slouch, educationally speaking, and UW-madison is known as THE party college.
Our gun laws are lax, if you like them, and we have some of the best hunting in the nation. Everyone seems to hunt, and we have so many guns we are able to be considered the 8th largest army in the world. Despite this, our gun crime rate is lower than all of our neighbors, except one, since they have, like, 1/10th of our population.
Downside is that our state is fairly fat.
