Where I live firearms are simply tools that do a job--a handgun for protection, a small bore rifle for small game (squirrel and rabbit), a large bore rifle for big game (deer, elk, wild boar). a shotgun for rabbit, quail, pheasants, etc.
I also reload my own ammo; normal loads for the rifles and shotgun; and a hot jacketed hollow-point for the handgun.
