I was poor, still am, but I was happy to rent some games. I wonder how poor people get by to play a lot of games with little to no money, unless you can still rent games on console. I don't know how console gamers trial games before they buy them.
Last thing I remembered about having any games was that so many people to steal games if they could get away with it. Being poor with poor friends wasn't great for my autonomy.

I feel embarrassed even to myself that I recorded the music on tape and use to listen to it frequently. I didn't know what was good music, I still don't today, but I'm happy to hear people sharing games that's not generally known. Just like Earthbound, it's more famous today than it was when it came out, and a friend and I find it weird that there's people into that game, playing it as if it's some kind of trend. I think that's also the case with 2D indie games now.
Are people getting into 2D low graphics games because it's fashionable? I've been living under a rock for quite some time.
