I used an e-cig to help me stop smoking, and since I bought my juice from vapor stores I got sort of acquainted with how a lot of people who use e-cigs act. Reading this thread I honestly shared a similar sentiment towards vapers that a lot of anons here do.
Multiple times I've overheard people hanging around these stores bragging about how they were basically walking around blowing vapor at every passerby. Not always intentionally I'm sure, but most smokers at least have the common courtesy to not smoke around non-smokers if they don't have to, and if they do they at least angle the smoke away from bystanders. Not so with vapers. Lots of them seem like they're actually trying to subtly dare someone to say something so that they could retort with "It's vapor not smoke jeez get over it."
On a similar note lots of them deny that there are any negative health risks. Although I'm quite sure that they're healthier than tobacco products by a mile, it's still willful ignorance. Claiming something has absolutely zero side effects, rather like potheads do when it comes to weed, is willful ignorance at best. I know when I started vaping my nicotine consumption skyrocketed at first, and almost immediately I noticed my gums rapidly receding in the spot where I put the drip tip- which is a side effect of the nicotine and not just of the other chemicals in tobacco. Do people actually do this? I mean when I was still bar hopping I would vape in a bar occasionally, but only if the bartender said it was fine first. Usually there's a designated area. That's the only public area besides vape stores that ive seen people do it indoors. I find it annoying when the kids who haven't smoked do it, and I always try to avoid bugging other people with it.
